Tom - bit off topic I know but I've been trying to remember which show your sign-off comment came from. "That's me that is". I think it was Rob Newman, but I can't think who was with him - very funny comedy sketch show0

As long as you are savy and aren't taken in by the spiel then there are definite benefits.
For example if you are an A&L Premier customer you can be paid £25 for just turning up!!My Motto in Life:

Whenever I am invited to a financial review I point out that my cousin is an accountant and very helpful.
They always drop the subject! For all I know, I actually DO have a cousin who is an accountant.lol;)
My bank have just very helpfully offered to deal with obtaining probate for my father's will.
When I found out they planned to charge over £1000!!!! and they told me I could do it myself for £120 - guess what I decided?
They even got that snippet of info wrong as since 2005 probate fees have gone down from £120 to £90!"This site is addictive!"

Do you think some Account Managers (not necessarily Lloyds) would try to sell people products which weren't ideal for them, to earn commission or please their bosses?.0 -
