Data Protection Act request.. How do I?

I've just had some flippin' shocking service from Paypal.
I was being perfectly civil and she swore at me. The words she said were "I don't give a sh*t".
After confirming that the call was indeed being recorded I then asked her for the address I would need to contact for requests for information under the data protection act.
She didn't know what I was talking about so I said that as the call is being recorded I have the legal right to a copy of the call, to whom should I write.
Three times she changed the subject.
Doesn't work on me, I've had kids!
I got my address.
Now... what do I write???

What exactly do you intend to do with it?
No doubt the call will not have been recorded anyway when you ask.0 -

Does it matter to how to draft the letter?"I, on the other hand, am a fully rounded human being with a degree from the university of life, a diploma from the school of hard knocks, and three gold stars from the kindergarten of getting the sh*t kicked out of me." ~ Capt. E. Blackadder0 -
It's called a 'Subject Access Request'
Google this term and you'll get all the info, there is usually a charge around £10In giving

You need to make a subject access request which will cost you £10.
Where are Paypal based?
To be absolutely frank, I would spend my tenner elsewhere.0 -
Got one, thanks Quiet Life.
For the benefit of anyone else reading the thread also wondering how to do a Subject Access Request there's a brief leaflet including a template letter produced by the Information Commissioner's Office (the goverernment) HERE"I, on the other hand, am a fully rounded human being with a degree from the university of life, a diploma from the school of hard knocks, and three gold stars from the kindergarten of getting the sh*t kicked out of me." ~ Capt. Improve customer service and take those who abuse their position and are paid to do a good job out of the loop?
Chances are that if you got the usual 'Some calls are recorded...' that all calls will be recorded. Especially with a company which will have to discuss DPA covered things over the phone.
If it was recorded, they have to look into it, no discussion. Some will offer to do this 'inhouse' but you can not gaurentee an outcome (whatever you expect). Chances are, that person will get the sack too.0 -

They won't "have" to do anything.
Seems to me to be a bit of a waste of time.0 -

If recorded and proven to be and no action is taken, surely it would come under a breach of the Malicious Communications Act 2003, let alone that persons contract???
Anywho, may be a waste of time but the OP has found out what they need to do if they want to go forward. It's their choice.0 -

I'm curious to know which address this person gave ?
Normally they give their Luxenbourg address given that is where they are now based"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
