Rbs to close or not to close?

Good evening,
I switched all my direct debits and salary to rbs at the beginning of the year and at the beginning found them very helpful and pretty good. But six months in im seeing faults and finding them to be imcopentant. They paid my rent twice by accident a while back when the standing order went out and ok credit to them they did correct it pretty quick. Secondly i was shopping in a supermarket and somehow my shopping was paid twice and rbs and sainsburys did'nt say it was there fault although its rbs who are being told to pay via my visa debit card. It had taken around seven days by the time i recieved my credit through i find that very strange. I also upgraded my account to the royalties gold and at the time thought great, But now i re accessed my account and found that only a couple of the benefits was good. As i have only had the account about six weeks i recieved a letter with my welcome pack that stated if i was un-happy with the account they would refund my charges within sixty days. I have spoken to my local branch and the rbs memebers team and they wont refund my charges? Is it a good idea to close the account? I would appreciate your feedback very much!
Best regards, Chris

I find it amazing that rbs is 85% owned b y the UK taxpayer and they are acting in this sort of manner.

I assume they'd be even more incompetent if they were 100% government owned.

A debit card payment going out twice is unlikely to be the fault of the bank.

There was an incident last year with santander paying card transactions twice, so it can happen.

Yes and there was the same story with Royal Bank of Scotland.

    I said unlikely, not impossible.

The sad truth is that due to dire staffing levels in many regions service levels will undoubtably suffer.
