A puppy is the solution to the hall dilema. Whilst its little people are too busy going aaaah how cute to notice anything other than puppy and then once it gets bigger they're too busy trying to get in without being eaten that they fail to notice the paw prints five foot up the wall or the random muddy marks everywhere else. In fact if you're even vaguely considering doing your house up get the puppy first because otherwise you look at things and think I only painted that a month ago and now look at the state of it. I speak as one whos puppy managed to sit on a drawer handle thus ripping it out of the wood, mind you it is eight stone of rapidly growing puppy.

  • moo we got the puppy, a manic spaniel, sadly its at work all day with hubby on a farm so is completely cream crackered by the time it gets home, so a knock at the door doesn't get a bat of the eyelid, kids are my main problem, sticky grubby sh!tty handprints up the stairs wall.
  • Right well another long manic day at work, can't wait for Friday feel like i'm going to drop, at least i've stopped acheing and a bit less like death warmed up.

Survey money withdrawn into paypal yesterday has hit paypal account today, chuffed as they said around 8 days, so £44 has been withdrawn and will hit bank account early next week, can't wait to go carpet shopping.

Some bits i'd ordered from next sale arrived today, pair of shoes and jeans for me and slippers for DD birthday, also have a parcel to pick up from post office, think it must be skirt i won off ebay.

Spends today are £6 for after school sports club, need to put petrol in the car as lights come on but that can wait until morning, right better go and make lasagne for tea.

Make sure you post all about the hall shopping...I am going to live vicariously through you!! I want to do our hallway too..but can't summon up the energy ( and cant justify the cash after xmas bills) so I will just have to live the experience through this forum!!

I think doing up the hall is a fantastic idea, if it gives you a boost and you have the money then its fine nothing to feel guilty about.
  • Thanks guys, i'm excited about doing my hall up:D, at least its cheered me up and given me a bit of a boost.

Today will be a spend day as DD is horsey riding and need to put petrol in the car, just £10 as i will fill it up properly on Monday when i get paid.

HUbby working late tonight so doesn't need any tea and kids on hot school dinners, so have decided that tea tonight can be something easy, might do poached eggs on toast.

Another long day at work, need to go to post office to pick up a parcel and do general housework this evening as we are looking like a bomb has gone off.

Meter reading have been done this morning, so in a week we have used £15.69 on electric and £14.08 on Gas, gas is still really high and struggling to get it down with the weather so cold still.
  • Morning all.

Thank goodness its Friday, feel shattered working these extra hours, really feeling it at the minute but sure i will get used to it.

Yesterday was a spend day £25 on horse riding and £7.50 on petrol as that was all i had in my purse and it will do me until Monday when i get paid and can fill car up.

Must go to post office today and pick up parcel, never got round to it yesterday:mad:.

Paypal money has hit bank account and transfered to savings account so i won't be tempted to touch it, might go looking for carpet on Sunday.

Had enough points this morning after doing a survey to order a voucher, so a £10 amazon voucher is winging its way:).

Today is another full day at work, post office lunch time and must weigh myself to see if i've managed to lose a lb or 2 this week, having said that i was naughty last night and ate half a box of thortons choccie:(.

Found a lasagne in the freezer yesterday so thats tea for tonight with salad, nice and easy.
  • Hi, Sorry you have had a bad few days.
My demon baby has scribbled all over my walls upstairs. No idea why we have kids - they just make us cry/frustrated/angry/spend so much ;) but I guess they are the best thing that ever happened to us as well. :)
Proud to be dealing with my debts,
