Sorry you are feeling blue PWPS - I dont think the time of year helps - its so grey and seems like ages til summer, and we are all recovering from Xmas etc so jaded. Xmas should be in June so we can all sit in the garden and forget aout it straight after!0

Sorry you're not feeling so good I know how you feel. I blame the time of year, January is such a long grey, dark month and it seems to go on forever.
I also feel the same about our house so much to do and not much money to do it with. We are supposed to be doing a list of what needs doing but haven't got round to doing it yet.
Hope you feel abit brighter soon at least February is a shorter month and the lighter nights will soon be here xx0 -
Ohh Penny, don't beat yourself up about wanting and needing a holiday. I think the whole dealing with debt thing is sooo stressful, don't get me wrong we NEED to do it but it takes over every decision and that has a knock on effect on our relationships, we'll get there.
I'm the same about this house, feel awful as i don't even invite the children's friends round and that's pants, so need to pull my socks up and at least get it clean and decluttered / ebayed!
Chin up, hopefully the cry will make you feel better. Oh and get another fiver in that holiday fund!

PWD i'm the same hate it if the kids ask if someone can come to play, especially as where i live is an area where people seem to have loads of money (except me) and have houses that look like they belong in homes and garden, my hall is the worst i hate it so much that if anyone knocks on the door i go out the back and round and pretend i was putting out the rubbish, how sad is that. I have decided that because the hall gets me down so much i'm going to do something about it in Feb, i know i have some overtime money due and should be around £100, i'm going to buy some paint and a new carpet, carpet shouldn't cost too much as it just the actual stairs to carpet as the hall floor and landing is laminate, will try and get a neutral end of roll, hopefully just being able to open the front door without feeling embarresed will make me feel better.
Thankyou everyone for you kind words, just feel like carp at the minute, doubting myself as a mum, how i do my job etc etc.0 -
Aww don't beat yourself up you're doing so well.
Look forward to your hall looking fabulous0 -
Good morning i ache all over and feel kn*ackered even though i slept like a log, hope i'm not coming down with something:(.
Feeling a little more positive today and keep telling myself Jan is nearly over:), really hate this long dark month,Mixed day yesterday work was pants, thekids i work with must have the January blues as well as they are being right moody s*ds at the minute, which makes them argue and fight with each other:mad:, which lands me with more work as i then have to supervise them on detention at morning break/lunch.
Desperate for payday to come around a i really am skint, on a brighter note have had £4 pasid into paypal from doing a survey and have withdrawn anothe £40:D from another survey company and should hit paypal in about a week, also looks like i'm going to recieve £20 from Quidco this month as well:j, have decided this money will be spent on making my home a bit nicer and not on debt, shoot me down but thats how its going to be.
Need to go make packed lunches and have a shower.0 -
If you are debt busting, you spend a lot of your spare time at home, therefore, you have to feel happy there. I don't see why anyone would shoot you down for spending a bit of your hard earned cash on your house (as long as you don't go buying gucci wallpaper :rotfl: xxxLoan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off.
