  • Hello, sorry to hear you've had a tough few days at work - sounds like the head is a lovely person and will get whatever is going on sorted. I know what you mean about finding the odd few quid for essentials like loo roll and petrol, its horrible - god knows how i'll afford Christmas x
  • I know i'm having to sell bits on ebay just to buy loo roll, but i'm looking at it as a challenge and trying not to get upset by it, still have a £10 sainsburys voucher if i really need to buy anything before Tuesday, but i think we will be ok, kids are on school lunches tommorrow and friday and i have enough bits for mondays packup for them, just need to make cakes and bread on sunday.

Can't believe how cold it is, log burning is roaring away but i've switched CH on for half an hour as the house feels chilly, hope we don't get snow as i hate driving in it.

You've a smart head on those shoulders PWPS. You see the challenge, you meet the challenge. Bring it on :-)
  • I wouldn't call myself smart with nearly 10k of debt:o, but thankyou for the complement.

In a really fidgety mood tonight, wide awake and wanting to clean and get things organised, which is very unusual for me i'm usually falling asleep on sofa by now:rotfl:
  • Hi, have recently come across your diary and wanted to let you know you are a real inspiration and have really spurred me on to do something about my debts. I will subscribe to your diary, if I can figure out how to(am new to this site) and check in regularly to read your words of wisdom.

I think I am pretty smart but have over 4 times your debt - in my opinion its not what debt you but have how you decide to tackle it. You are doing something about it. Thats smart. You face adversity - and dealt with it. Sorry hun, I think that's smart too. I have £42k debt, i've been ( I now see) an idiot in the past - but no more. Let's be smart together.

EB69- thankyou you are lovely, i do have a bit of an issue with my self esteem and wasn't encouraged at school and always felt stupid, got better as i got older and put myself through collage in my late twenties after having children, as i thought i owed it to them to get a better job, only once i got to college i did relise that i'm actually quite a clever girl, especially in the profession i have chosen, i will never be a rocket scientist but i can get by although maths never was my strong point. We will tackle our debts together and will hopefully have learn't a valuble lesson at the end of it and never ever ever do it again:).

So onto today, not alot going on to be honest it will be a nsd as i have nothing to spend:rotfl:,work this morning, cleaning this afternoon, need to raid freezer for something for tea.

Have done this weeks meter readings Gas used £6.51 knew this would be slightly more this week as CH as clicked on a couple of times with the cold snap we are having, electric £16.51 so this has reduced slightly, not in budget of £20 but i still think its ok considering how cold it is and i'm not going to make us ill for the sake of a couple of pounds, i think at the moment with the weather as it is i need to say £25 a week.
  • EB69 do you have a diary that i could subscribe to, if not please start one.
  • Morning Pennywise hellowave.gif

I knew you would find a way to put petrol in the car - good for you!

You're right it's far too cold to be scrimping on the gas. Brrrrrr fc17aef2.gif

Do you think you will get snow soon?

    Love BR x
  • Glad you sorted out the petrol! I know what you mean about not getting ill because of not having the heating on.....I dread to think how much gas we are using - I to worried to read the meater as I have it on loads at the mo!!!! But just cant sit in the cold.
Bet you cant wait to hit the BC with any over payments.
