Primark

  • I like Primark for their nightwear, bathrobes and plain vests t-shirts and tights. I don't really buy very trendy stuff from there as I often find it to over the top, but the classic items are good.

Quality wise I find most shops hit and miss to be honest. I had things from M&S or Next falling apart after one wash or trouser hems come undone etc. However, usually you can get a good idea of the quality of an item by just feeling the material, checking the seams. Sometimes it just the brand name, not the quality that pushes prices up!

I bought a few tshirts recently, washed them a couple of times and the seams have gone all wonky. Like when you iron them they're not straight :S Ahh well, I suppose that's what you get when you pay £2 for something.

On the other hand I have had some really super items from Primark - I bought a few nice floral vests around xmas time - not stretch cotton, I think they're more tough polyester material, and they've lasted pretty well considering they were £4 each and New Look were selling identical for £12.

I also have a lot of undies, socks and accessories from them, which are ace. so yeah, the quality is hit & miss... but mostly good in my experience.

    Hi all

Yes I think Primark is a bit hit and miss, but having said that the following are my favourites

Pyjamas - especially the brushed cotton winter ones, v. cosy!
    Bras
    Socks
    Tights
Linen pants - think I've got them in every colour!!
Skirts - especially the cotton/linen ones they have in summer
Cheap jewellery - jazzes up an outfit no end
    Bedding
Sandals but not shoes - I stick to M&S for those
    Knickers & most t-shirts M&S
I find their handbags (large & small) a cheap way to jazz up an outfit and they have a great selection of scarves to ring the changes

My daughter like the pumps from Primark, they do a great range of colours and they seem to last fairly well, so cheap that she can co ordinate her outfits.
