Primark

I buy in Primark a fair bit, although less than I used to. I find the light colour of their tights good, and as I also go through pairs every few days I need them to be cheap. I wear Primark knickers almost without exception. My main problem with them is their sizing. I'm a 10-12, but in there I can be between a 6 and a 14. Knickers run small, I have to get 12-14 and in their 5-pack patterned thongs these dig in. The cut of their trousers and shorts is completely impossible and like others I find things don't hold their shape. Having said that I bought three identical pinafores and several round-neck jumpers in November and they're still going strong. The jumpers are bobbled but still soft and comfortable and the pinafores wash up a dream and have kept their stretch.
I don't think the quality is any worse than some of the tat in Topshop these days. I much prefer H&M as I find their sizing consistent and the range of stuff mindboggling. I have many things from there that I've never seen on anyone else and in my experience the quality is good.0 -
I've heard that the same company makes underwear for both Matalan and M&S. There nightwear certainly looks similar - and Matalan's a lot cheaper!Normal people worry me.0

I won't shop in Primark. The standards utilised in their factories has been shown to be exceedingly poor. They are working on rectifying the situation but until they do I would not spend another penny there.Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

i buy quite a few things from primark as i feel i get more for my money, so far havent had anything thats falling apart quickly, maybe im just luck
some people may call it throw away fashion however i much prefer buying a top from primark for say £8 that i know im only going to wear a few times than say £30 from somewhere like river island
stuff that i would call classics i would pay more for from somewhere else, i get a lot of my work trousers from dorothy perkins etc
but primark suits me for a lot of stuff and cant fault them, the only issue i have is i dont have a primark local to me, i need to go into glasgow to get to one so i spend a lot more lol0 -
I'm a man with the fashion sense of a clam! I shop in Primark for most of my clothes, probably because I prefer to dress in what I find comfortable in,Polo shirts & jeans.I suppose & I have heard people say this, men in the forces (even ex forces) have an off-duty uniform & it's true to an extent.
I have an awkward body shape for a man especially when I buy trousers and it's the leg measurement. It's either too long or too short & I have always found it awkward getting the right length.Suit's I have adjusted by a tailor.
A while back a friend & I were doing the rounds of the shops before going to pub,as you do.He bought a tee shirt in Top Man or some other swanky shop & we went into Primark where the was the exact same style of tee shirt on sale for half the price he paid!
Again,you get's what you pay for.0 -
I mix and match tbh and have a variety of stuff from different shops. I do like Primark and get quite a lot in there but it can be hit and miss..i also find it odd i am an 8-10 in all other shops but in primark a 12-14 in tops as find them quite tight? I have a few pairs of jeans from there that are still going strong and some other things that aren't, their home stuff is pretty good, shoes i haven't bought other than dd's flip flops which are too big at the mo!
I bought a lovely jumper from Debenhams a few months back £18 and it is so bobbly and hasn't washed well at all..just goes to show!
M&S are very good for bits although i'm 31 so most of it a bit too old for me!..i get my tracky bottoms and tops in there for work ..Sainsburys again nice stuff and lasts well..Next good but don't tend to buy much.0 -
Primark are great for tights, as someone said earlier, they ladder no matter what the price.
Not sure about their bras though. Thus far, my Wonderbra and M&S bras are the ones that have lasted best. Does anyone know where else produces good ones, or come to that, when the next M&S bra sale is?0 -
I have found avon and tesco very good for bras
