Hi OP, It is a temporary bodge, but you should really get a new 'stat fitted. The car will come up to temp quicker (more efficient, saving fuel) and you don't you will notice the temp. guage dropping on the motorway (the rushing air literally overcooling the engine). Get it replaced, it wont cost a fortune, but I really wonder why a Rover guru doesn't have a stack of them as spares to fit as a matter of course.
Yeah i agree not done as it should so think i will email him and see what he says about doing it in the future..there was reason he said he couldn't do it due to it overheating?0 -
Well the lads on the MG forum have told me not to pay the bill as he has done a rubbish job and get an opinion from the garage..i will pop up later. Has anyone ever not paid for work due to thinking it was wrong?0
