My interpretation of that is,
I would like to see Spikey's interpretation because the above sentence is a contradiction. If I was asking a private question I would like to know exactly where the boundaries are.Torgwen.....................

Spikey wrote:This has now changed whereby unmarried fathers can get 'Parental Responsibility' if after the child is born he along with the mother (jointly) goes to register the birth.
You had me worried there for a moment! I was always under the impression that my (unmarried) ex could only register his rights as a parent if he applied and I gave my consent. I think we had to register the births together as otherwise the birth certificate would have said father unknown?!
Anyway, thanks for adding the second bit as this was well before 2003 so I don't have to put up with any interfering for the time being...If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...0 -
To All Mse'ers,
After a lot of thought and talking to Martin (of course) plus reading all the post on this thread I have come to the conclusion that even though my intentions were good and sincere this thread might not be appropriate and therefore I will be asking Martin to close this thread and place it in the archives.
I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause and if this has caused any offence.
I will still be around if people need a chat or advice and I will be happy to help if I can.
I hope that clarifies issues.

I think this was a wonderul offer by Spikey and I wish we could have done it. However, correctly dealing with these type of issues is something that's regulated and needs dealing with in a structured way
After more detailed thoughts, i just dont think its a service that can be provided here on an informal and unmonitored chat forum, even by a professional. And whatever happens I would be the one with the legal liability. Whilst i know the score with moeny, i dont feel in a position to 'take responsibility' for this one.
However i do think Spikey should be applauded for the attempt. It was a lovely offer.

Hi Spikey
I'm sure you have helped loads of people by being willing to do it in the first place and for all your other input on the forums. I'm sorry, because I feel partly responsible for stopping a genuine, well intentioned and generous offer to this web site. However I do feel that you and Martin have acted in a very responsible and professional manner in keeping with the rest of the site. (sorry this sounds arrogant and belittling, not meant this way at all , I'm trying to get the wording just right)
I hope there are no hard feelings and have pmed you again to express this.
You have a big heart and I'm sure anyone who has the pleasure of knowing you, working or living with you will be all, very lucky people.
Best Wishes
Caroline0
