Esa good news!

Hi guys, just thought i would let you know .

I was moved from IS in March and had to apply for ESA.

Had my medical on the 26/5 and have just received a letter telling me i have limited capability for work and will continue to receive ESA.

Im so relieved as i was sure i would have to appeal.

Im still kind of shocked to be honest!!:j

Commiseration on being found to have limited capability for work.

Limited capacity? So you could still do some jobs?

Such is what the work related group of ESA is designed for. It exists to provide assistance to a person who has limited capabilities, but whom could still perform some tasks, into the world of work which is suitable to their condition.

JSA does not provide that same level of assistance to people with limited capacity.

It is extremely difficult to secure employment for some people who have been long term ill or whom are disabled. Employers are not all as "disability confident" as they like to portray. Faced with the possibility of 6 candidates, 5 of which are fit and healthy and one of which has limited capability who may be sick from their workplace frequently due to their illness/disability, an employer is far more likely to disregard the sick one and take their pick from the 5 healthy ones.

Idiotic reply from you as usual.

I am not over the moon to be ill, i am pleased that it was recognised at the medical that at the moment i am incapable of work, but hopefully i will be able to work in the future after i have had both hips replaced. They wont do them at the moment as i am too young, so they say. I had hip preservation surgery on one hip in December but sadly it failed and has made me worse. I have arthritis in most of my joints, cannot walk without chronic pain, have to have Fentanyl patches and take Oramorph daily amongst other meds.I only leave the house to go to doctors, physio or hydro, with the exception i walk to the end of my road ( 3 terraced houses long) almost every day just to get out of the house and see another human being! This only with the help of 2 crutches and gritted teeth and a few stops.

I am a mum of 3 grown up kids and have a son at home age 11 who helps me as much as i let him.Have not been on benefits until last year, i am now in need of them and am pleased that the people who matter agree .

Your ignorant attitude just shows you up for the type of person you are.

I posted this thread to let people know that i had been honest in my application, had the medical and was awarded ESA, and was happy that i wouldnt have to go through a tribunal/appeal and hopefully to let people know that some people get the right result after a medical.

So once again, thank you for your ignorant reply , it says more about you than me

At least you don't have the appeal to face :)

Shame NASA doesn't portray the brains of NASA, eh?
