Idiotic reply from you as usual.

I am not over the moon to be ill, i am pleased that it was recognised at the medical that at the moment i am incapable of work, but hopefully i will be able to work in the future after i have had both hips replaced. They wont do them at the moment as i am too young, so they say. I had hip preservation surgery on one hip in December but sadly it failed and has made me worse. I have arthritis in most of my joints, cannot walk without chronic pain, have to have Fentanyl patches and take Oramorph daily amongst other meds.I only leave the house to go to doctors, physio or hydro, with the exception i walk to the end of my road ( 3 terraced houses long) almost every day just to get out of the house and see another human being! This only with the help of 2 crutches and gritted teeth and a few stops.

I am a mum of 3 grown up kids and have a son at home age 11 who helps me as much as i let him.Have not been on benefits until last year, i am now in need of them and am pleased that the people who matter agree .

Your ignorant attitude just shows you up for the type of person you are.

I posted this thread to let people know that i had been honest in my application, had the medical and was awarded ESA, and was happy that i wouldnt have to go through a tribunal/appeal and hopefully to let people know that some people get the right result after a medical.

So once again, thank you for your ignorant reply , it says more about you than me

My hips are gone but there are plenty of ops that you can have at my age (41) but you will be put off if the op you had didnt work, what Ive found is that doctors dont give patients who need hip ops the full menu of choices because some are only done in centers of excellence and many of them are better for younger people or people who want proactive surgery to save there hips.

Its to late for me, it wasnt just my pelvis/hips that were wrecked by my accident and arthritis but if just one younger person questions hip ops in there case and gets the treatment they need then its one more case in the stats to change the NHS dinosaur from believing that only pensioner need hip replacements/resurfacing etc.

I have noticed that it has got really nasty on here just recently:(
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I wonder what Martin Lewis thinks of the tone of so many of the replies in here? It has put me off registering before.

I guess some people just need to belittle others on the internet to make themselves feel happier about their own lives. :(

Only recently? I have never known MSE not to have its nasty side......
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Hi , yes i know about the different ops, i had a 3 hour hip arthroscopy as it was deemed better recovery (!) than the other option of an open proceedure, sadly i have more pain and virtually no function in the operated hip now! To make it worse all funding for these ops has now been withdrawn at Torbay. I am not suitable for resurfacing so i have to wait , i see my orthopod in August so hopefully can push him for some answers as sadly the other joints taking the strain are deteriorating!

I know a lot of people with these problems and it helps to chat to them and let off steam!

Thank you for the advice and info:)

    Congrats!!!

Sometimes I do get a bit nervous when I read negative comments. I am not too good with coping with confrontations. It really may seem that on sites we couldn't become offended by what people say, But we all do feel and words can be upsetting.

The OP has shared some fantastic news and it would be sensible to just accept the good news without adding something that is cleary not neccessary or needed.
