Parking ticket in islington- 4 minutes overdue
Comments

I really does not matter whether its 4 mins, 10mins or 15 mins unless the ticket conforms to the regs its invalid. Also its important to get the info from the council regarding whether the ceo synchronised his machine with the ticket machine. They have been known to be over 10mins difference between them, this would eat up the OP's lateness.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

When did this board become full of smart @rses who like to gloat at other's expense?
You may not care but it's people like you that will be the downfall of these forums.
BTW OP be careful because Islington will be £120 fine or £60 if paid within their timeframe. I don't think that it is unreasonable for you to attend late by a few minutes but this unfortunately doesn't matter. Head over to Pepipoo and see what they can do. Good Luck
Oh dear, let me guess - cjcooper you posted this on the wrong board to start with didn't you?
I just skim-read the answers you had so from from people who no experience of appealing parking tickets. Oh dear. That wasn't a good start for you question but never mind (with the exception of the helpful comment I have quoted above).
Apart from jgallcash's quoted answer, and the more recent replies from Paradigm, king100 and peter_the_ piper, the others are mostly just guessing or judging what you did (rather than what the Council did). You may well be able to appeal this, pepipoo.com help people to win in the majority of Council parking ticket appeals.
Each to their own but personally I would appeal any PCN I receive from the Council now that I know how often the Council muck up the wording/signs/lines/procedures. Good luck OP, stay on pepipoo and this parking board - and don't post about it again on whatever board you started on here!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ha ha i ony ask a question and now all this. well im waiting on the other guys now to see if they can help.
thank you all0 -
I feel your pain, but there's a difference betweennow in a nice kind world he could have walked round the carpark for 5 mins and see if i turned up.a) seeing no ticket at all, then walking around the car park to see if you were buying the ticket at the machine, andGrace periods are usually allowed where the circumstances would make it unfair and unreasonable otherwise. Given that the opportunity to comply was present, but you just didn't make it in time, it's like missing your train then wanting your money back. It's unlucky, but it's life and you could have planned things better in hindsight.
b) seeing the ticket valid for all those minutes, during which you had ample opportunity to return to your car, but didn't.
Don't take this as a dig, just as devil's advocate
