Are surveyors allowed to move furniture?

We have received an offer on our property.:rotfl:

The property has a wooden floor and some damp history. There is a patch of brickwork on the fireplace that has flaked away. Can surveyors move furniture?

I was thinking of rearranging the furniture to go along the damp area walls and at the side of the fireplace to hide the flaking brick. Also, there is a crack in the wood floor that I could hide the sofa over

The bathroom should be OK, i had it tiled floor to wall to prevent the plaster being tested.

i am repainting the window sill as the paint keeps going brown. I will park the car outside close to the peeling render.

in a homebuyers survey they do not, but in the more expensive structural survey they do look in all the nooks and crannies. I had a leak coming through the ceiling when my surveyor came round for a homebuyers and he did not even notice it dripping onto the carpet!!! poor guy who spent £450 for that survey!!

Assuming this isn’t a wind-up, I think you are going hugely out of your way to deceive the buyer here.

Do you realise you have to fill in forms in connection with the sale? You’re going to have to continue the deception in writing and submit it to the solicitors handling the conveyancing.

    A dangerous way to proceed?

I've just done two sets of papers for two different properties. Those words didn't show anywhere, just direct questions.
