I'm pretty sure you can only associate an ipod with a single iTunes account at once (someone correct me)
Non DRM music you night need to log into both accounts and separately add to each accounts library
DRM music purchased on one account will not play on an iPod synced with another account unless you evade the DRM (more a reason for having one account between you but separate playlists?, apple probably won't approve tho)0 -
Hello,
Here is one way to get it all working very simply.
1. On the PC you want to use, login with your Windows login.
2. Start iTunes
3. Click Edit -> Preferences
4. Click the 'Advanced' tab
5. Put a tick in 'Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised'
6. Put a tick in 'Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library'
OPTIONAL: Look at the text at the top under 'iTunes Media Folder Location'. Chances are it will say: C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR NAME>\My Documents\iTunes\iTunes Media.
This means only your login can see the music because it's in your folder. If you want yours and OH login to both see the music you will need to click the 'Change' button and put this somewhere else, eg 'C:\Music' so you will both have access to it.
7. Now drag the music from your USB stick into the library like you did before. It will take some time as it will copy the files into the directory mentioned in the 'optional' step above. The problem last time was that it only created shortcuts which pointed to the USB drive so as soon as it was removed it couldn't find them. This time it will actually copy them onto the laptop so they will be available after the USB stick is removed.
8. After that you should be able to drag and drop or sync files to your iPhone. This should work with any non-DRM MP3 files you have, and also with any music purchased from iTunes, ie your OH's Scouting For Girls album
Good luck,
NiVZ0
