As these now have specific end dates and we no longer have to login to enter, would it be better if they were posted separately?

Does this mean it's possible to enter more than once?

I wasn't overly concerned about the mess this thread had become because you were warned that you had already entered.

Duplicates could now become an issue

i must be getting confused somewhere...this thread was for the daily entry comps to be posted in, like the glamour thread or the sugar thread? except because we had to log in and its nice to enter everything at once LINKS to the main board posts of other company comps where appreciated by many of us, which is why LINKS where posted in here.

i have no idea why all comnpany comps then started to be posted in here, instead of on main board but certainly the comps themselves should not be posted both places, unless here it is with a link so we cna thank the other posting too.

mess the thread has become? sorry but i take offense at that, chesea girl has spent months keeping this thread updated with the daily question, and adding links to other company comp threads, the change of the site meant a lot of the comps changed so they were kindly posted in here for us all, as well as links to the original threads.....i fail to see how that is a mess?

and if you read up the thread there are a few people who have tried to enter the new format more than once and been told they cannot do so, so entering twice is still not an issue (though imo never really was since mostly a link ot the main board thread was included).


edit to say having just looked back further i can see that there are comps posted here that either werent posted on main, or were not linked to there if they were....i was assuming the majority of them where the daily comp but its also possible that came about because of the previous discussion we had in here re comps.

I think the reference to the 'mess the thread had become' was meant because it seemed people were getting confused and instead of having posted the comps on the main board with a link in this thread to the post on the main board they were being posted only in here?

And also because they all had different ending dates (or no end date at all) they were being missed by people that work by end date?

It was getting incredibly confusing and that's no slight on ChelseaGirl who has done a fantastic job with the daily comps on here since they started, but the confusion definitely started with talk of all the comps being posted in this thread.

Ah, no offence taken! I'm as blimmin' confused by it all as everyone else appears to be. :rotfl:

Since the Company site changed a few days ago, most comps now show a separate specific end date (previously no end date was shown and comps were 'live' for a random few days each).

So - now I propose that we post those comps that show a specific end date (not all do) on the main comps board, and put a link on this thread to that comp (as I started doing by popular demand a while ago). That way, MSEers who search comps by end date won't miss them.

Those comps that don't show an end date could just be posted as is on this thread. What do you reckon?

I've tried to enter a comp (for something I didn't really want of course!) twice, and it didn't let me, so dupes shouldn't be a problem. Obviously, if someone discovers differently, then please let me know and we can devise another plan of action.

I hate to be the one to put the cat amonst the pigeons again, but i would prefer the comps to be in one place or another. I understand the daily giveaways being in one thread, but the ones that are posted on the main board and again on here i find confusing and time consuming. I have entered via the main board, then i see this thread pop up again, so go into this one to trawl through loads of posts (because you will always get some comments as well as comps) only to find a comp i have already entered, or do not want to enter, or i enter again only to find i have already entered. Also i dont like to not check this thread in case it is a new comp, and i dont want to miss something i might like to enter, so as i said, this can all take ages.
If others want the other way then thats fine, but i would prefer it to go back to how it was at the start
