I have an account with shell direct and pay £30 per month DD. When I need oil I simply phone around for the cheapest quote, then inform Shell direct what the best price is. They always match it so I always get the best price and I only pay the £30 each month.
I'm quite sure other firms would offer a similar service.thetope wrote:i would rather have the £30 earning interest in MY account (if i had it)
we would all like a bit of that interest rate where you get more than £20 for £30pm. Where do you bank?Plenty of mistakes, but no regrets.0 -
Well we ran out and with the stinking weather I cannot get any washing dry so am having to order some oil boo hoo!
Anyway, prices this morning are as follows.
Bangor Fuels
500 - 140
900 - 243
Richie
500 - 143.64
900 - 249
Maxol
500 - 139
900 - 238
Clandeboye
500 - 139
900 - 242
So there you go. At least they are going down a bit.

I usually find home Fuels to be the cheapest but I also like getting good service for loyalty so what I do is phone around about 10 suppliers find the cheapest price and then phone Maxol Direct they always ask if I've got oil from them before - which I always do then they beat the lowest price I've got - and they always delivery that day or at the latest the next day.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

I got 900 litres from www.cheaperoil.com last week. Cost me £285
They were the cheapest I could find at the time.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

I got 500 litres about 3 weeks ago for £159.
I could have filled a 1000 litre tank for just a teeny bit more than that about 18 months ago.0 -
