Mine was a nail file, not foot file. It is a clear glass nail file about 6" long and about 1/2" wide that you would normally find with the nail accessories/make up accessories, can't find it online, it was around £7.98 when I got mine but it has outlasted every other nail file I have had in the past 3 years. HTH
When looking on mysupermarket to see if I could find it I noticed this scholl foot one on offer @ £1 - has anyone tried this and can either recommend or not?
Sounds like a glass (sometimes known as crystal) file. This will literally last a lifetime as long as you rinse it after each use.
The surface is full of 'crater' like holes (even though it looks smooth) and this is what files your nails. I'm a nail tech, had my glass file for ages and its certainly better than anything else.
£7.98 is a little expensive. I've seem them as cheap as £3.0 -
Hello.
No use ups today. Just one purchase which I'd been considering for a while. Skin Doctors vein away plus to use on my ankles for pesky inkle veins. Anyone on here used it? Going to give it a go. Got it on offer for about a £10 instead of £20.:money:
Saw some lipglosses, perused and then put them back after Operation Bourjois the other night.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Thanks T. I am like a magpie with lipglosses, they look all shiny and lovely...
I forgot one use up!
Regis cashmere hair conditioning treatment (brown pot) - wiba yes. It makes my hair feel smooth. But I do think there is something out there better (just like men sometimes eh) but yet to find it.
You know I started this challenge in January and it has changed SO much in relation to how I now buy stuff. I (almost all the time) do a mental stock take before I buy something. I've learnt a couple of things along the way:
* if you love certain makes/products and they have offers, and your stash isnt THAT bad on that product, then its ok and makes sense to buy on offer. so, any Body Shop body butter offer is fine by me, as is bonus time for Clarins (for toner) or Clinique (for eye make up remover).
* sometimes you have to let go. Some of my products (egmake up) just didnt improve with age. And can cause nasty rashes or eye infections. So better to say thank you for our time together but goodbye.
* if you've found the one, the one product you love and works dont try and find a cheap alternative. I wasted money on finding eg a face scrub better than the Dermologica one. And by wasting money on 3 bad purchases I'd have easily bought the Dermologica one.
* keep doing a stash record to keep things in check.
* thank everyone on here, and remember there is more to life than shopping for stuff :A:A:ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I went away with a friend a couple of years ago and couldn't believe she had actually BOUGHT a pack of empty jars/bottles for this purpose! I bought some small size bottles of shampoo ages ago and decant shampoo into these when empty - saves having to write anything on because I know there is shampoo in the shampoo bottles even if it's not the brand of shampoo that the label says it is! I also have small S&G body butter jars that I decant stuff from the large jars into.
I've done this for year - it amazes me that anyone would do otherwise but lets face it we all know people who wouldn't think of it! I also stash shampoo and conditioner sachets aside to take with me on holiday - this year I took almost everything in sachets which was great, not sure I'll amass such a big stash again though so that might be a one-off! Next weekend's camping trip should see of another mini-shower gel with any luck!
On the subject of UU's - I've finished a Boots "Aromatics" shave gel - it was a mini one that came with a gift set OH was given ages ago - no prospect of him using it so I thought I might as well! WIBA? No, I never really bother with shave gels and creams, just use whatever is to hand at the time - shower gel or conditioner if I've got a cheapie to use.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Finished my spray deodorant today, but have replaced it, as I like to have one spray in the house in case I don't have time to let roll on dry, also bought a hairspray as the one I have will probably run out in the next few days, and some inter-dental brushes (do they count as toiletries?), but this was very good for me as I went to Wilkinsons today and I usually can't resist their offers (hence the stash, lol!) but this time I did!

Have to confess to having had to throw a hand and body lotion away, it smelt awful. It was an Avon Hand and Body Lotion with Dewberry (ages old!). It probably didn't cost much more than a £1 anyway so I won't lose any sleep over it! I'm also having a swap around of hand lotions. I love the one I keep in my bedside cabinet and have gone off the one I'm using at work (and which will last for ever!). So, I'm going to take my BS Almond Oil Daily Hand and Nail Cream to work with me today and bring home my M&S one to use at night.0

No UUs to report this morning but a small purchase yesterday - Boots' Time Delay Wrinkle Prevention night cream. Was £5 off in Boots so £5.49, plus 500 points voucher from the mailing and 100 points from the ACM, so really it was 51p profit in Boots logic
I am saving up to buy my pram/travel system from Boots, the one I want is £149.99 so I'm now just 20 points away - points offers are good! Now the bad. After reading your WBA and WNBA I've started a list of "I would like to try that"
I've got a list like this too - I've got a spreadsheet with what I've used, what I've spent, and for the past month what I'd like to try once I get through the stashSo many good recommendations on here!
pinkandwhites wrote: »Incomings: 4 x skin care samples from Oskia. Did I need to request them? No! But I will very much enjoy trying them as I will never be able to afford to buy them. Getting little freebies occasionally seems to be keeping me on the straight and narrow with not actually buying any more toiletries, as it feels like a real treat when they arrive in the post! yay :T I'm easily pleased I know! :rotfl:
I'm still requesting any interesting freebies from the Freebies board, and magazine freebies (Benefit, *ahem*) as it's so nice to get something new, especially when you don't have to pay for it. And as they're usually small, I'm sure I'm still using up more than getting :Anoelphobic wrote: »I have realised that I have a habit of buying small sizes of toiletries on the basis that I will use them when I go away. Unfortunately I don't go away as often as I would like so don't need the huge amount of small sizes that I have! I am definitely going to use up some of these items and listing them should prevent me from buying any more!
I've got quite a few miniature and sample sizes now, which I'm trying to use up first - so I can feel like I'm making an impact, and also because some of them are so small, they feel quite annoying and 'cluttery' - they seem to get everywhere and breed!
A use up and a purchase since I last posted:
UU: Crabtree and Evelyn small shower gel, possibly Rose in it? WIBA? No - nice, lathered ok, but nothing special. Think it was a little stocking filler pressie anyway from family. Have another which is Lavendar, but I'm on a Boots Meditteranean first.
Buy: NYC nail polish in a green colour - bought this to go with an outfit for the weekend. Wasn't that keen on the colour once on though, and it's quite watery - it needed loads of coats! It did say it dries in "a new york minute" - which is true, but only because it goes on so thin! Grrr - so ok colour, and poor formula.
Anyway, as a result I painted both finger and toe nails on Friday night, and last night. Last night I went back to a lovely Opi colour - much better0 -

These are some great points - I might have to print this out and stick it on the cupboard where I keep my stash, or put in purse for when shopping. :T
Totally agree about buying HG products when cheap if you have room - we're still here to save money after all. And sticking with HG products rather than spending money on cheap, rubbish substitutes.
I still need to do a full record of my stash though... I will, *will* tackle that this week - if I do a little bit at a time over a few evenings it won't be that bad will it?!
On rubbish substitutes - the cheap Superdrug eye makeup remover I bought instead of Lancome Bi-Facil stung one of my eyes the last couple of times I used itNot sure what to do now...
I am unfortunately very tempted by the latest clinique bonus time in John Lewis... It's the first time I've seen one where *everything* that's free is something I love and would use, no random lipsticks and eyeshadows etc! The freebies include "take the day off" remover, which i know works and doesn't sting my eyes...
I don't know what to do - I have one clinique product that will need replacing soon (City Block), but not sure I have another... My DD lotion is almost gone which would be the second, but I have loads of other face creams to use up first, so if I bought more it would have to go in stash...
On a more positive note, I've just transferred £200 out of my toiletry savings pot, and put it towards a credit card - I feel quite virtuous :A The rest I have earmarked for more fun stuff... :rotfl:0
