Grr. My horse and I must be the only people who the famous insect repelling properties of avon skin so soft do not work for. :(

We don't tend to get many horseflies round here, more mosquitos, but today we were bitten alive, I'm all lumpy with big, bruising bites, and she, normally no too sensitive has HUGE bites on her. : ( poor thing.

the avon sss doesn't work for me either. I tend to get bitten no matter what i try. I'm sure i must give of a scent that attracts such beasties. I have heard that the B vitamins can make you less appealing to the beasties.

Nope - when I used SSS, Red came up in lots of raised oily lumps where Id sprayed her :rotfl: and I got bitten worse !!! Im using switch on her for flies at the momnet - that seems to work well, 40mls on her spread into 4 patches, and she doesnt need doing for a couple of weeks.... so far so good!!!!

Ive heard that brewers yeast is good (ofr horses!) as is marmite.... as for people - I dont know still. am using some really really old jungle formula at the momnent!!

Just a boring UU to report - a Sure roll on deodorant, replaced with yet another Sure roll on deodorant! ( no white marks one).

Finished a tube of eye cream, and a jar of face cream, and have a face wash which will probably be empty in the next day or two.

oh dear i've been bad, i've just put in an order for Avon, in my defence they were all reduced products and are things i know i will use.
Goes to stand in the naughty corner.

I've done one too. All mine were reduced products as well and I've managed to get 8 items for £12 odd.

This is my first slip up since February though :o

Got to try and motivate myself to cleanse my face tonight. I always struggle to do it when my hubby is away as we have a routine where I wash my face whilst he's in the bath and we have a bit of a natter. Not the same when he's away :-(
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

    Some UUs here.

Lush Rainbow Worrier ballistic WIBA? Most definitely, but it's a retro item and it's a bit expensive for one bath, so only as a treat. Smells of sandalwood and vetivert, quite an earthy, sensual fragrance.

World Piece ballistic. WIBA? Again, a retro item, but yes. A unisex fragrance, but not too masculine - very fresh with peppermint, pine and cypress, but doesn't smell overpoweringly of these.

Kerastase Resistance Masque Age Recharge. WIBA? Maybe. It was very good, didn't leave my hair feeling weighed down, but left it soft and shiny. Downside is the price (around £20 - it was a comp win though). However, my hair isn't very long so I didn't need a huge amount.

Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo. WIBA? Yes, one of my favourites. It's supposed to be for frizzy hair, but I find it really gives my normally fine flyaway hair body and volume. Smells like shandy with a touch of patchouli! It's also got vinegar in which is good for shine.

    And now the bad news....

I found a ton of unused makeup when I was having a hunt for some magazines and a tin of Penhaligons perfume vials. I'm going to give my mum the perfumes, as she can't use spray perfumes and loves to have lots of small/sample size scents to try out. Makeup may go on ebay or be put up for a present.

Won two Benefit lip glosses and recieved a free Cowshed lip balm. Not overly fussed on the Benefit - it's not a brand I'm really a fan of. I'm finding them a bit gloopy, but the colours are ok. I actually prefer the ELF moisture care lipgloss.

Not sure if putting all those hotel size lotions into one bottle was such a good idea - this morning its liquid on the top and a curdy mess underneath (like milk on a really bad day). Tipped off the liqiud and tried the rest - smells amazing so I guess I'll keep using it. No idea what is in it, but it smells like when you mix jelly and blancmonge together.:D

Nothing else has hit the wall yet, but loads of things are down to the last inch. Local Body Shop now has amazing display of body butters in window - they are put there on purpose to tempt us!:rotfl:
