Sorry for being a temptress!I bought a grapefruit oil rollerball on eBay that was delish for about £3.99. It leaked though - which put me off buying another. It smelled fab though.

Just had a look on Ebay, £5 Buy it now for a little sample!
The lady in the Body Shop was telling me last week that when men smell grapefruit on women, they typically guess their age as 5 years younger on average!:j
I never heard that before, dying to try it now. Jo Malone sells for ridiculous prices on ebay so I'd rather pay the ridiculous price in the shop just in case the ebay version is fake or ancient. I know loads of people wouldn't live near a Jo Malone counter though. Lime, Basil, Mandarin was my signature fragrance for ages, I had the ex-boyfriend trained to buy presents from the Jo Malone counter (rather than the Kylie/Jade/Jordan/Colleen counter!rosemary54 wrote: »been inside all day so missed the sun:(BUT was at a flower arranging day with Barry Grey(famous in flower circles) and won a HUGE arrangement in the raffle:):):):):)....so big i can only fit it in front of my fire on the hearth!!!!
Also when i got home parcels from BS and L'ocintanne so evening of pampering ahead as OH away (again!!!)
Fabulous prize, I'd love to win some flowers. Enjoy them.:T PS Check me out multi-quoting! I've been here for donkeys yonks and I've never known how to do that before. Thank you Mags30!
Glad everyone's having fun with multi-quoting!
I've used up a GWP tube of Lancome Primordiale serum. I think it's a very expensive product intended for people older than me. I'm not a huge fan of Lancome skincare because it's is so perfumed but the serum was pleasant and a great GWP item. So I wouldn't buy a full size but if it was part of another gift set I'd use it again.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
hi everyone,
well done for keeping up with the challenge. i have just got back from hols and used up quite a few things. Mainly little sachets and bits and bobs that have been lurking in my make up bag or stash for a very long time.
biggest thing to report is that i used up the last of my shower gel stash :T no where near as impressive as some of you ladies, but still they have all gone. the last one i used up was a small neutrogena gel called rain bath - this was lovely can't find it anywhere.
we are having a new bathroom put in at the moment, so am not able to use up much stuff as i cant do pampering sessions. but still making an effort. what does everyone think of the cowshed products i have always fancied these but after the disappointment of molton brown i am loathed to shell outtrying hard to be debt free by the end of 20100 -
Ive got one use up - my mist you madly moisturising spray. WIBA? probably not - I bought it cos i thought it would do my back really well, but (and I know how petty this sounds!) the top is really loose, so it swings round too easily - and it doesnt really moisturise as much as I hoped for. Smells nice though !!!!!
got one more baths worth of cinnamon buns bubble bath, and only one more the fab pore dose left too i think, so they will be gone probably tonight. Im about a couple of inches left of my tresemme too, so with that and whats left of my freebee shampoos, im hoping to keep them all going till I get my hair coloured t the beginning of July.... oh - and theres not a lot left of my mango and macadamia shower gel either....
well done ladies - keep it up !!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Hi all
Been lurking for a while and have just finished reading through this thread.
First the good. I was motivated enough to retrieve a half used jar of L'Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream from the back of the cupboard and slap it on my feet. It's now by the side of the bed and I will use it every night until it is finished. It was way too rich (for me) for body use.
Now the bad. After reading your WBA and WNBA I've started a list of "I would like to try that"0 -
Hi BakerGirl :wave:I like Lostinrates' description! :rotfl:
I'm not great at describing perfumes but I like Unconditional Love because it smells light and pretty, of flowers, fruity berries and the kind of vanilla that smells like sun warmed skin. It's sweet, but not cloying, and doesn't give me a headache which is something I have to be careful of. It's not a statementy kind of fragrance, and I feel as if I smell like *me* when I wear it no matter what I'm wearing or doing.
My Donna Karan Black Cashmere on the other hand, refuses to be worn round the house with trackie pants and unstyled hair, and it hates sunny days. It demands full make up, a properly put together and accessorised outfit, and a specific place to be going - preferably after dark! It will settle for daylight so long as I have @r$es to kick at work:rotfl:
(I sound crazy don't I?)
I just love how you described that perfume! I'm a bit like that with Valentino V Absolu!shandyclover wrote: »With all the discussion about the Grapefruit scent - I looked up 'perfume parlour' and they have their own Grapefruit perfume oil. Might have to buy this! 5 years younger hey?!!!hi everyone,

Alfiecat, there's a free Cowshed shower gel with Marie Claire (I think) this month, might be a cheap way of testing out? I would buy it but I already picked up 'Woman and Home' with free Dove Pro Age chest and neck serum, in my defence I've never tried this product! :rotfl:
might still test out the Cowshed shower gel thoughI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -

Don't know but there's a free cowshed shower gel with Marie Claire magazine on sale at the moment. You could try that for around £3.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Still not bought anything, used up 2 sample shower gels, and a body spray. Got a few things on their last legs at the moment, so maybe a few more use ups soon.

My eyes water and about an hour later my eyelids become red, puffy and irritated and will stay that way for about 12 hours after I've removed the mascara. I've been through all the mascaras and suprisingly the ones that cause me the least problems are the cheaper ones - maybe its some chemical in the expensive higher technology type mascaras I'm allergic to? Right now I'm using Boots Naturals Waterproof Mascara with no problem at all which is amazing as the Boots Sensitive Eyes brand I had to give up.
Used ups over last few days:
Avon Perceive EDP - wiba no. I really like the smell and its cheap but it doesnt really last. (am gutted that Jordon's stunning has been pulled from sale, that did last but totally understand why, apparently underpaid foreign workers making the glass bottles).
Impulse Thrill - wiba no. It was a 19p jobbie from Superdrug. It was ok and just that.
I managed to buy the Glamour magazines for the Benefit pencils. I use It Stick and Eye Bright already so it make financial sense to get them when cheap. But that all.

Oh what a shame! I'm lucky enough to live near (ish!) a Jo Malone shop, and they are generally quite generous with samples. I'll try and score you one when I inevitably go and buy some. more. (I miss it already!)
Thank you, that's kind!
A small UU - Original Source rose bath foam, travel sized. I think I bought this from a Travelodge vending machine one time when I'd forgotten shower gel. It was quite nice, foamed up well and the smell was lovely. Doubt I'll buy again though, not keen on baths really. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
