Have used up my last Shine Shock. Won't buy another at the moment, though I might in the future. Nothing wrong with it, just fancy a change!

    Hi Sophy

Shine Shock sounds interesting. Is it a hair product?

    Morning all

Still no purchases for me this month. A lot of products are nearly finished though, the only UU for me is the sample sachet which came in the post last week from Dove and their Visible effects bodylotion, this is a WIBA for me. For me the lotion was too thick and heavy so wont be buying it.

    Enjoy your day.

Got a sample of V05 matt paste in the post yesterday but that's for OH so haven't added anything to my stash :)

A UU - kind of - the first half of the cut open Biotherm night cream! I would buy again but only on a great offer as I imagine it's expensive. It's really rich and lovely.

  • Talking of eye infections - more of a swollen puffy eyelid - anyone ever had that? I dont normally suffer hayfever or anything. I have been using 2 different eye products recently (Clarins eye make up remover and Rimmel volume flash mascara) so maybe they are the culprits.

I'm allergic to alot of mascaras, and thats what happens. My eyes water and about an hour later my eyelids become red, puffy and irritated and will stay that way for about 12 hours after I've removed the mascara. I've been through all the mascaras and suprisingly the ones that cause me the least problems are the cheaper ones - maybe its some chemical in the expensive higher technology type mascaras I'm allergic to? Right now I'm using Boots Naturals Waterproof Mascara with no problem at all which is amazing as the Boots Sensitive Eyes brand I had to give up.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Yeah, it is a John Frieda thing- I ended up using it on the ends of damp hair because it helped me with my dry looking hair from too many days at the beach - don't think that's what it is really intended for, but it did the trick! This year I'll try to prevent the damage in the first place, though.

Emailed Jo Malone yesterday after the good comments about the Grapefruit perfume to see if they'd send me a sample - no such luck :(

The lady in the Body Shop was telling me last week that when men smell grapefruit on women, they typically guess their age as 5 years younger on average!:j

I broke a bit off my Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds bubble bar last night, and it is lovely! Good value for money as well I reckon, as I'm sure I'll get 6-8 baths out of it. If you like patchouli, then you'd love it.

This is one of my favourites too, although I've only ever got 3 baths max out of it - we have got a big old bath though.

In the summer I love love LOVE Philosophy Unconditional Love and Jo Malone Grapefruit, but I would like to try Pomegranate Noir or Wild Fig & Cassis too.

I have the Wild Fig & Cassis - it's quite woody and very figgy. I loved it at first, but I think i just got bored with it. I think it's because for me, nothing else seems to develop from it except the smell of fig.

Just trying out a sample of Miel du Bois by Serge Lutens. I really can't make my mind up on this one - it's certainly different.

Used up a sample pot of Pai Avocado & Jojoba hydrating day cream last night. I wasn't sure how long I'd had it, and it seemed a lot thicker than the camomile one I've had before, so I didn't want to chance it on my face and used it on my legs instead!

WIBA? It's a gorgeous texture and smells nice, but although it says for all skin types, I think for a face cream it would be more suited to dry skin or as a night cream as it's quite heavy - worked wonders on my knees though!
