Thanks Mineallmine! The aqueous cream is really gentle for me, I use it at night though, because I don't trust it to not make me oily during the day. The Soap and Glory I've only used 3 times, and not in a row, because I'm afraid to strip my skin - although it's been really lovely, and not made me feel tight at all.

So annoying to have combination AND sensitive skin, because as you have blemishes, you tend to want something that will zap them away, ie: harsh. But because you're sensitive, you can't use that! Then using more gentle products, you feel that it doesn't do anything for the blemishes...Catch 22! lol

Another UU here this evening - Naked detox shampoo - WIBA? I'll certainly buy another deep cleansing /build up removing shampoo at some stage, although in the immediate future I shall just shampoo twice as I have a nice big shampoo stash at the moment. I don't think I'd buy this Naked one again though - it seems effective enough, but as I said before with the ordinary shampoo, because of the lack of lather it doesn't feel like it's working. I used to get a Botanics one which was lovely but I don't think they make it any more.

Continuing from the OT bit on the thread the other day, it's quite scary all this new financial information now coming out of the woodwork isn't it - thank goodness that it seems we can now, as a country, get down to sorting the situation out and not just blindly making it worse. Definately think the Government need ML as "Chief debt advisor to the Treasury" though!

  • Well done for all the lists Jacks - I have loved seeing what goodies you have in your stash and I agree with mineallmine, you've got some lovely brands there.

I feel like I'm making some headway with my half-finished bottles of stuff - here are some more use-ups: :j

Avon shampoo for coloured hair - WIBA? Yes when on offer, I quite like to alternate it with Elvive for coloured hair, or Pantene for Brunette hair.

Avon Planet Spa Mediterranean Olive Oil Firming Neck & Chest Serum - WIBA? Yes definately. I love this product - it glides on and really makes a difference when my neck and decollete (sp?) is looking a bit sun damaged or crepey.

Avon Satin Glow Body Moisturiser - WIBA? No probably not. It was an ok moisturiser and didn't smell too bad (for a gradual tanner) but I bought light/medium which was probably a mistake and maybe med/dark would have been better. I didn't feel it gave me any colour, but for fairer skins it may well work a treat.

I've also finished a toothpaste (Sensodyne Pronamel Gentle Whitening) and so have now started one of the new ones I bought at the weekend. I am loving this toothpaste at the moment - and am a bit scared to stop using Sensodyne to be honest as I don't want my sensitive teeth to come back!

Hopefully in the next few days I'll have a shower gel, a body lotion and a foot cream to report on, as they are all nearly finished!

My colleague was trying to tempt me with her Avon book again today, but I have managed to avoid looking at it ... so far! Wish me luck - I need to stay strong! :rotfl:

A very boring use up to report - a raspberry and pomegranate soap bar - the teeny unusable bit left got flushed down the toilet today!
Its been replaced by a Dove oil one - nice smell and not at all drying, good for everyday bathing.

Just posting to say thanks for all the WIBA information. I'm not joining the challenge because I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't have a make up and toiletries stash, but I love reading what you all thought of the products you're using up. Loving the lists too! :j

Don't forget to post your WIBA on products for the benefit of us all as well! :D

I've not long bought a ped egg. They had them for £6.99 last time I went into TKmaxx. I would tell you how it is if I could find it to use it but DH has "tidied" (read opened cupboards drawers and just shoved random things in random places) it away.
I do have a scholl one which is like the parmesan graters. I don't think a great deal of it TBH. It can leave deep troughs in your hard bits!

thevicster, I was wondering what on earth a vouher was. "Has she been somewhere really exotic?" I wondered to my self. Nah, it finally clicked. I'm quite dense sometimes but in my defence, it's bed time not lunch time but I'm having lunch!
Busy night here so I think I'll sleep well tomorrow. Catch you later.

:rotfl:That's my crappy keyboard playing tricks on you!

I've got the Avon 'ped egg' and it's pretty good when used with foot cream, think it's a reasonable price too?

Evening ladies (and solitary gent if I recall correctly!!) and a warm welcome to all newbies. Just a quick update from me as I haven't posted on here for a while. I've used up a few bits and pieces over the last month or so. These are the things I can actually remember :

Radox Shower Smoothies Soul Soother: This was a large trial size I received from a promotion. I wasn't looking forward to using it but was pleasantly surprised. It smelt divine, was very creamy and moisturised well. The only negative for me was that it contained whole raspberry seeds which seemed to serve absolutely no purpose other than to annoy me. I probably wouldn't buy it solely because of the seeds.

Trevor Sorbie Long Hair Conditioner: I was glad to see the back of it and certainly wouldn't buy it again as it was nothing special.

Phytosteine Sebo-Regulating Shampoo: Another product purchased in my eternal search for the Holy Grail shampoo for greasy hair. It had been languishing in my cupboard for several years. I was ecstatic to finish it (OH gave me funny looks as I whooped with glee in the shower!) :embarasse It was like washing my hair with cough syrup.

St Ives 24 Hour Moisture Advanced Therapy Lotion with Hydratein: I probably wouldn't buy this again. It sank in well and was moisturising, but didn't smell that nice and the consistency was a little thin.

Hand cream: Bog standard hand cream I was sent to trial some time ago. Smelt nice but didn't leave my hands feeling particularly pampered.

Dove Go Fresh Burst Nectarine & White Ginger body wash: This was also a trial size. I thought I wouldn't like the smell but it was actually very nice and it lathered well. I would buy it in future.

That's the few bits I can remember. I've got another tube of hand cream I was sent to trial cut open which has lasted an extra three nights but should be gone by tomorrow. I've also finished my Prebio tablets and another box of fruit tea.

However, I must also confess that I won a third lipstick from Flake and after a bad week in May I ordered a Wild Cherry Lip Butter and a bottle of Monoi Miracle Body Oil from The Body Shop. I also bought a very small bottle of Avon Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist from a local charity shop for £1 on Saturday. It smells delicious. I do feel like I've let myself down, but I guess I know that I have made some progress this year.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

Forgot to say...I lov the lists! It's so interesting to see what brands people like and gives me good ideas!

One little use up as well...Trevor Sorbie repair and protect conditioner - it was nice but I had to thin out the last bit with water as it wouldn't come out of the bottle (and the bottle is an odd shape - no good for turning pside down when you need to get the last bit out!)

Forgot to mention that I FINALLY managed to use up a Body Shop Passion Fruit Facewash. I was trying to be :money: so I put it in a pump dispenser and it therefore lasted aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *takes deep breath* aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. So much so that I got sick of it and started using it as a shower gel as well.

WIBA? I'm not sure it exists anymore (well, not on the website). It wasn't really for my type of skin (it was for normal), but it was ok even then, and I bet if I had normal skin it would have been great. I couldn't waste it, so at least it's used up.

Oh no:eek: I'm really liking this and kept meaning to stock up while the Anita's Favourite's range was back. Although I have tons of cleansers/toners in my stash still to get through so I guess I can't complain.

Hmmm Boots glitch by any chance:cool::rotfl: I got loads of this range on that glitch (I have short hair btw:o) and I absolutely hated it, it did nothing for my hair at all. I gave most of it away but unfortunately I think theres still a bottle or two in my stash:(

I think I'm going to end up making a toiletry purchase this weekend:eek: I'm hating my Dove deodorant and having been impressed with the BS aloe one I think I'm going to try these new BS ones. They are paraben and aluminium free so should be perfect for my sensitive underarms, plus they're on offer at £2.50. I was tempted to order one earlier but knew I would end up spending more to get free delivery so will wait until the weekend and get it instore:money:

A UU hopefully tonight - Boots Time Delay Night Cream. WIBA? Probably, with a voucher, although I want to try the BS Carrot Moisturiser first as that will work out cheaper even using a Boots voucher. Thought I would have to go and buy some today but have remembered I have a Sanctuary Night Cream from the half price/GWP glitch. Also found a travel sized Biotherm night cream that I thought was empty but I've cut it open and there's at least 3 applications left in there! :D
