I'd mess them around, just for the fun of it and then, much later, pull out and offer your originally agreed figure, or less.0

As they can't be trusted, the house is a lost cause and not worth messing about just for "payback". BUT, I would arrange a viewing just to see their faces when I turned up!0

All depends how much you want the house really........:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0

Yep, heres hoping its up for another 10 months with 0 offers.Put your offer back in, oh and to really upset the second EA advise them that you were introduced to the client by their first EA.

Tempted, but not sure what id say when i turned up!:T0 -
The fact that your offer was accepted. I'm surprised the original agent doesn't chase them for their commision. They found a buyer, they accepted and then move to another agent.....a lot of contracts would expect them to pay up. Any EA's on here care to enlighten if this would be the case?0

I'm not a agent, but yes, if the agent finds a 'proceedable' buyer he is (normally) entitled to his commission.
You could speak to the original agent who may not be aware.....0 -

Soon find out, OH is going to phone and find out if the initial EA are aware...:D
Lets hope this turns round and bites her in her greedy **** :rotfl:0 -
I work for an EA and no, we wouldn't chase for commission until exchange of contracts.0

I think a more pragmatic approach may be called for. From your point of view, nothing has changed. The house is the same and you wanted it enough a few weeks ago to offer 95k. I presume you still want it, it won't have increased in value since then so I'd just re-submit the original offer and see what happens. Maybe the vendor got sick of the original EA with their vanishing buyers?0

Wouldnt want to proceed, as wouldnt have the confidence in the vendor, after what could only be a stunt to try and get more money?
Original EA tried convincing them otherwise - saying we were in a perfect position, and they knew where in the buying process we were.0
