    OP had three choices.

    1 Do nought and wait for the 4 am call from the Police smashing down the front door.

    2 Buy a copy of the Highway code, rule 109

    such: -

    AMBER means ‘Stop’ at the stop line. You may go on only if the AMBER appears after you have crossed the stop line or are so close to it that to pull up might cause an accident

    3 Revisit the place of the offence and see if there was a camera!
