....I couldnt afford to buy another laptop outright, so I ordered one from my catalogue on BNPL and I will save to pay it off before the interest kicks in next May. I know its not v MSE but I didnt want to dip into my savings pot. Do you think that's reasonable? I dont have a CC....lesson is in future to print off the photos that you want to keep or invest in a harddrive back up I think!....
I take heart in the many, many posts where folk say they are now in a position to do as you've said, because they have found--& more importantly USE--the help & advice on mse.
As to tekkie stuff, I'm afraid a hard drive is still a journey that involves a motorway or right turn in my book
Butdoineedit.... Thanks, i'm hoping *i can get addicted to NOT spending!. :j Ooooooh you will--trust me!...."in for a penny, in for a pound" unfortunate turn of phrase for our new way of seeing things hmm!! Not sure how well i'll do, this was maybe a novelty thing and **i'll get really fed up with not spending. I get really depressed when i dont spend anything!.....

Grrrr  day for me too...car wouldn't start (again!!), managed to get jump-started this morning from neighbour, so wasn't late for work thank goodness!
After work (having consulted with DH) I went and got a new battery charger...our old one gave up the ghost last year. DH will take the battery out this evening and leave it on to charge overnight. Hope we don't need a new battery, or even worse...a new alternator!!! Had this fun and games with our last Peugeot Estate....and this one is MUCH older (J reg - 1991!)...got it for £800 4 years ago, so hoping it will last a few years more. Otherwise, my tax windfall will be finding a whole new direction!!! Might even get it serviced before we head north in 3 weeks time...better to get things done now by my nice (cheap!) local mechanic, rather than spending rip-off prices while on holiday, though there is a great mechanic in my Dad's village...so if things go wrong when we are there....!
So as I was spending anyway, I topped up with more milk, F&V and eggs, rather than go tomorrow or Wednesday..so a few NSDs coming up hopefully..depending on how the car goes (or not!).

Another NSD for me, it makes me chuckle how ive started to work out things so i don't have to spend.:rotfl:
Needed to post a large letter to the council and seeing as i didnt want to buy a stamp, popped it into the office on my way through to budgeted food shopping!!!(only £42.43, this week)
Also DD had hospital and now that she's 15, think she's old enough to pop in on her own, so didn't have to fork out 90p for parking, (im so glad i didnt as she was in there for 2 seconds, i would have been so mad:mad: and on the way home got her to run in the bank and pay in a cheque (from Musicmagpie for £25) so another 60p saved on parking!!!
I can therefore declare a NSD!!!! :j
Off to cook tea and then to a friends for coffee.
