  • Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Big hugs to anyone who is unfortunate enough to live near inconsiderate neighbours who make summer a complete nightmare. We have a family across the road who scream and shout all the time and have a permanently barking dog, but they pale into insignificance compared to some of the tales on here today. I just don’t understand why some people don’t give a monkeys **** about their neigbbours..:mad:
Sorry, that has nothing to do with NSDs, just needed to sympathise with pdd and herby

Sorry Spoon, didn't think you could hear us! Our dog barks at seagulls flying over the garden.....not sure I can do anything about that :rotfl:

    Hi everyone! :hello:
I have a day of arts and crafts and cooking planned :T I have to get some sketches done for a pressie, make another card and make loads of meals for this week, as well as some baking (think I'm going to make chocolate brownies, peanut biscuits and traybakes) Hubby will be v happy when he gets home from his smelly boys' weekend :A I had a lovely (non-smelly) girly night in with BF, we had movies to watch but we were so busy chatting that we forgot to watch them! :rotfl:

    Have a good day, MSEs!!

    Jo :)

I read this and thought, lucky lady. A hubby and a BF! Then I realised you meant Best Friend, not Boyfriend:rotfl:

    NSD 9 today :T....and it's just started raining :(

moneypenny2k with that pedagree your definetly a honourary Derbyshire lass,I live in the 800+ year market town of the Crooked Spire, so Wirsworth is one of my regular walking route's.Herby what neck of the wood,s are you then?

I agree with Boultdj, course you can be an honourary Derbyshire lass moneypenny, that said I'm actually a Manchester lass, DH kidnapped me so have only lived in Derbyshire for 9 years now, but it feels like home to me. I'm not far from Derby town centre Boultdj, DH was born in Belper hospital and has lived in Derby since he was a nipper. My DMIL was born and raised in Wirksworth, lovely place, we often go there. If you're in the town of the CS Boultdj, do you ever get to Hardwick Hall? We go there a lot as I love visiting the herb garden there.

Wasn't an NSD for me today, but I only spent £50 of my £60 budget for this week and £10 of that bought an electric hair trimmer for DH, he likes his hair short, so I've offered to cut it for him and save the barber fee, will save us about £60 a year so money well spent, another £8 went on holiday essentials so I think I've done well this week, looking forward to a few NSD's now. DH was surprised at how little I bought this week, I only got what I needed for the meal plan that we didn't already have in, did all the spending that needs to be done today as well, so I don't need to do any until about Thursday, fingers crossed.

It's raining cats and dogs here today so washing is on the maiden in front room, have you been practising the rain dance again PDD? Course you can show me the moves at Stonehenge, should amuse the others and I have a groove thing to shake if that's okay?

We had a bit of commotion about midnight last night, one of the newer neighbours on the street went round and complained to the noisy neighbours about the TV and they went out to the front of the street standing at several peoples front doors to see if people could hear it, yelling it's not that loud and telling the complainer to get a life. It was funny to see all the curtains twitching (yes I was a twitcher to) it would be nice if we could organise some kind of petition, but I think everyone is worried about the flak if they get found to be the instigator, so we all live in misery every summer. They finally turned off the TV and took it in the house at 2:30am and I got to sleep not long after, shattered today and don't feel like doing much.
The irony is a few weeks ago another neighbour had a 21st party (having only ever had one other party for a silver weeding about 3 years ago, and at 10pm the noisy neighbours were out complaining and threatening to phone the police, telling the other neighbours they thought they owned the street when anyone can tell the noisy gits do (that sentence dripping in irony!) I would have loved it PDD if they had left the telly out, it would have been most amusing. Thanks everyone for the sympathy, it's oddly comforting to know we're not the only ones who are plagued by noisy neighbours.

    Herby x
