Gentle Jump into June? Did we mention NOT spending...(well this is the NSD challenge)

Hmmm, had a VERY spendy day today!
Got new loppers (DS2 broke the other ones ), pretty good ones too; pressies for my other sis (not 'li'l one...I am BIG sis, she is in-between, as is my bro!)...and some lovely checked seersucker material (half price!). Not sure what I will make with it...either a skirt or a top...will raid my patterns next week sometime.
Had a major raid on Evans (inc a new bra...at last!)...but they gave me a new card a few discounts and an extra 10% off....and I won't need to pay for 5 weeks :j:j
Also saw the chiropractor who was pretty pleased with my back, and doesn't want to see me for 6 months!!! :T
Got the car back from the garage too...it got a full service...and nothing majorly wrong! :j Still cost us over £200...but better than having to get a new car!
All in all, a good, expensive and tiring day.
Tomorrow is not going to be an NSD, as I have to post sis's pressy, and getting a Mr T online order. Couldn't face doing a biggish shop today, so decided to get it delivered tomorrow...much better for my back, if not for the bank-balance!!
Been reading back through this message..I do use !!!! a lot don't I! there I go again
Oh well, off to bed now...DH is watching the end of Rambo First Blood..DS2 was watching it originally, but didn't like it enough to stay up to see the end.
Still think I should make my NSD target this month, though the GC target was blown loooong ago
Mind you, I did get quite a few extras knowing I had my nice tax refund to pay for them...must use some of it "properly" though, before I fritter it all away.

Today was not a NSD but only because we did the shopping for next week instead of tomorrow. So tomorrow, here we come...

Been having a wee problem with medication combined with manic phase at work, so starting to become normal again, think I was with you Katenut, poor Oh has been alternatively sympathetic and ready to strangle me!!
Have a good weekend all, is there football or something on..................Are we up the back passage before crashing Uncle Bulgaria's bunker then--I'm lost this month!
Must be something in the air too with meds, cuz I'm having "issues" too. It's times like this I'm glad I don't have an OH, but the poor darling Offspring go through the mill. Then again, they usually deserve it :cool:I'm blaming the summer solstice or ley lines or jupiter in the wrong bloomin place again or maybe just the stupid endless football - feeling totally normal now but the last 10 days have been a write-off!! Hopefully our long-suffering DH's/offspring can breathe a sigh of relief now. Mind you, a cider drinking session in BDINI's alley sounds just the thing right now - when are we descending on Leeds?
PDD - all my DH keeps saying is 'its not my fault!' - until I snapped at him that I would be writing that on his gravestone!
Oh, and just before I went off the radar I took DH2 (Darling Horse) to our first ever jumping competition and we came fourth - quite simply the scariest thing i have ever ever done!!! Very very very proud of her though, all I do is point her in the right direction and she does the rest
xx
I'm so glad it's not just me having a few "dippy" moments this month:rotfl: - my brain seems to have gone AWOL.
Re BDINIs back alley... we're doing that outing after Wombledon finals day next weekend. We should be chavving during July, need to sort a date out, but we need to get Wombledon out of the way first (and hopefully left undamaged;););)).
katenut - lovely news about your horse - what a little star she is:TThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Good morning all from my shiny new laptop! Yay!:T
All working fine!
Pleased to report another NSD yesterday - that's 13! Planning another today as Im not going anywhere except to post a couple of books, but I've already paid the postage.I am aiming for my target of 15 by the end of this weekend. For me that's some going as I've got birthday money waving at me in the drawer upstairs! I'm not spending it until I see something I really want!
I will be spending today ripping back and re-doing the knitting I did completely wrong yesterday as I totally misread the pattern -duh!
I will also be settling down to watch Andy on Wimbledon. Come on, Andy!:D
Have a lovely Saturday everyone
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
ooh a head spinning smiley, thank you spoon!
Pleased to report NSD Number 9 for yesterday0 -
Ooo, I've just checked the first page and there are lots of you who've met your targets - well done! Good luck to everyone else :j
I haven't had a NSD since Monday, so I'm a bit disappointed. DH is just about to go out and buy a BBQ (just a cheapie) as we've family round today for one and when we checked the BBQ last night, one of the legs is falling off!!
No planned spending from today though, I have no reason to enter a shop until Thursday now. We have so much food in the house it's silly.
Have a great weekend all
honey x0
