Will power? Not really something I generally have a lot of myself I'm afraid (hence being way over my grocery budget at the end of last month!)

I'm desperately trying to claw back my grocery overspend by using stuff I've stocked up on since January, so reminding myself of this was one way to stop myself going back for doughnuts.

The other was reminding myself that I have loads of sweet stuff squirrelled away around the house, and the reason I've been tucking it out of sight is that I've started a running programme to help with weight loss........ and eating doughnuts would just mean I'd have to do more exercise just to stop myself putting weight on

Hiya NSDers

Despite the lovely weather today, I haven't spent a penny, the old me on a day like today would have splashed on 3 or 4 bottles of mineral water (I now call them money splashing water since becoming a DFW hehe:D) , now I keep some of the 750ml old bottles in the fridge and in my handbag with tap water instead.

It is number 12 for me today please Spoon, yesterday was number 11:j Tomorrow or thurs will be a spending day coz of oyster card.

Did have moments of wondering whether i could do it this month as i seem to have had to spend loads, so am really chuffed as there's no way i'll be missing out on my pony now!!!!!

Can hardly believe i'm going to manage almost half a months worth of NSD'S, can't stop smiling
(would it be a bit dramatic to say this challenge has changed my life????)

Even though I spent on posting an item sold through eBay, it was paid for by the buyer, so I'm counting yesterday as NSD 13, and I suppose it was even technically a Profit Day!? ...

Long may this good weather continue - and good luck to the England team today - happy people with high spirits are more likely to spend their money and buy my items on eBay!

Good morning, didn't have time to log on yesterday but did read spoonys great update. Looks like everyone is doing well. Keep up the good work.

Didn't think yesterday would be a nsd as DD came over to do a little job for me in the morning and finished the last of my milk grrrrrr. Thankfully though, kind gentleman friend who took me out to drink champagne at a hotel bar by the docks paid for the milk I had to stop off to buy. So yes another nsd for Moneypenny. Expecting today to be one too.

depends on where you live I guess, 'cos it doesn't taste the same here. I'm in the process of weaning myself off bottled stuff (when I'm not drinking tea), which for me means nasty tap water instead of a 50/50 mix of flavoured and plain bottled stuff.

Morning all

I've got over my apathy and done my list, plan and (pared to the bone) shop which is coming this am. So today is not an NSD and neither was yesterday as we ran out of milk and bread.

I am really hoping that Thurs and Fri can be NSDs and then I only have to find one more out of the last 5 days of June. A pony:j...I always wanted a pony but had to make do with hamsters which are cute but not the same!

Sports day at DD2's school this afternoon...I think everybody will be making a bolt for it at about quarter to 3!! Good luck England!
