Thanks- persistence pays off at times. Not heard from the dealership yet, so will ring in the morning.
Am shattered and have to go out again to pick up DD2 from Uni, as it is a late lecture and for some reason they keep changing the times. She was told 6pm and it has now become 8pm- not good when she needs to plan around her diabetes.
Not a lot else to report, except done expenses and time sheets. Next month will be far better, but have to wait an extra day for pay..lol.31st of the month, although i reckon i will be paid on 30th. Sorted out some tax stuff and have reclaimed my pension payments which shouldn't be going out of the other job. So money is there, i just have to wait to get my mitts on it..lol
I am hoping to pick up some extra tuition so will all go in the pot- eventually.

Hiya Bob. Been a little busy recently, but i keep popping in for a quick read.
Great news about the car. Well done for sticking to your guns. Have you got anything in writing about it yet that you can take in to the dealer?
So DD2 survived fresher week then?
Glad you're able to get some rest now, but also make some time for yourself to de-stress. I get the feeling you're still running around like a loon trying to sort everything at once. Take it easy sometime and think about how much you've achieved.
I'll pop in again soon. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

I am running around like a loon George- i was very tired before, lack of sleep and demanding job. The b***er of it though is that i am wide awake now. DD all safely picked up and back, yes she survived freshers week
Didn't do that much really with living at home, but she may well want to live on campus soon- it will certainly make my life a bit easier...well apart from the finances that is.
But i have to sort out a bit more of a balance really.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Just a quick update.
Nissan dealership are charging £180 for the labour, so all in all i don't think that is too bad. I have spent a total of £130 new tyres, £38 on diagnostic, £211 on car insurance and then the £180 for labour- money i could have done without spending but it had to be done. I am thankful for all the negotiating i have managed to do..stuff i would never have questioned if it hadn't been for this site.
Car insurance was budgeted for, as was about £50 towards next service. Which will need doing soon but will have to wait- that will be booked at the end of the month, so in time for winter.
Who said having cars was cheap??
Now onto jigging the non existent budget for this next month.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

They're not cheap are they? Hope you can sort out the budget OKDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Nope, but the good news is that the food budget came in at £170 so not to shabby there. Just £20 over.
I am having a look at Direct debits at the moment and i am going to flog a few things, which will go straight into savings to pay off something. The maddening thing is that i have had to touch money set aside for paying the car off, but i am thankful that i could do it just have to be careful and it will all be paid by Christmas so it is still on budget.
We all have months like this and it is how we get through them- i enjoy a challenge, but by gum i could have done without it.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
