Well have very little to tell at the moment.
But work wise, i did a few arrangements and with job 1 they are still being ..how can i put this delicately? Err people who couldn't organize a p*** up in a breweryLuckily i am feeling less stressed about it and refuse to spend time worrying.
Job 2 will have more updates on tomorrow.
Money wise- very tight this month:o But i will get through.
I also had the biggest laugh i have had for ages today- My Halifax card was at 0% then went onto variable, and today they sent me a letter saying they were putting it up to 23.% with the option of closing it:cool: Guess which one i took?:rotfl: I did give them some guff about the Bank of England base rate and what a rip off it was in these times etc.
They offered me a loan as well and said they would take me through some security questions- but not credit scored..nearly wet myself laughing when they came back with a preferential rate of..wait for it 29% over two years:eek:.
I laughed so hard i started coughing:rotfl::rotfl: Told her to politely naff off, and then thanked her for giving me such a good laugh. She said mine was an unusual reaction- i said well, if it wasn't for MSE and knowing how to get rid of things, i would probably be crying.
I know i overpay things, but now i will be doing it more so-:T:T Well when i have my job sorted that is:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

What? Those people work at your place too? They get around...boredofbeingathome wrote: »They offered me a loan as well and said they would take me through some security questions- but not credit scored..nearly wet myself laughing when they came back with a preferential rate of..wait for it 29% over two years:eek:.

At least it was a preferential rate...you preferred to tell them to go forth and multiply...boredofbeingathome wrote: »She said mine was an unusual reaction- i said well, if it wasn't for MSE and knowing how to get rid of things, i would probably be crying.

They do get around Z- :rotfl:
I do love a preferential rate, and obviously i asked the Universe to send them lots of people so they could also tell them to go forth and multiply:D I wonder if those nice Wonga folk need some peeps to tell them the same:cool::rotfl:
I have realized i am in control, boy does it feel good.:D
Wouldn't mind but i have knocked over £500 off that card- no spends in the past few months, overpaying the minimum and then sometimes PAD. Oh well, less interest for them and more pennies in the pocket for me:D
I have found a stash of coins i will be emptying out and using nextAnd i have resorted to the trusty couch 'recovering of coin method' the old favourite standby:D
Am adding card to sig- so that you can see it go downWas one i BT'd Mr.B's other card to and one of mine- so lesson learned there and it will be biting the dust.

Looks like the credit card companies are back to the old game of discarding those people they aren't making the maximum amount of profit from through fees etc.boredofbeingathome wrote: »I have found a stash of coins i will be emptying out and using nextAnd i have resorted to the trusty couch 'recovering of coin method' the old favourite standby:D
And you can always frisk Mr Bob down for change whenever he walks in through the door. You never know, he might enjoy it after a while...boredofbeingathome wrote: »Am adding card to sig- so that you can see it go downWas one i BT'd Mr.B's other card to and one of mine- so lesson learned there and it will be biting the dust.

Yep, i even had a refund on the card for DD going out to credit expert..hmm do you think they were linked? And once i canceled DD to credit expert- again then they decided to up my interest charge? Suspicious

Depends on the kinds of thinking:- Saving money and spending sensibly - good
- Wanting to be frisked down for pocket change - not so good...

Well today was a good day.
Beautiful weather whilst driving to meet pupils- all country lanes- perfick:D
I fair enjoyed it.
Spends on petrol- £30.15 and had to pay £1 for a sandwich,(left my lunch at home) so not bad and some of the petrol is reclaimable so good there.
Have options with job 2 as saw another pupil today who may well be coming to me, but not for a while. They also want me on some school supply=not to sure about that as although i teach up to GCSE, i am a Primary teacher and that is where most of my classroom experience is..but i can give it a go.
Heard nowt from Student finance so have to keep money to one side still and it is killing me, but i will do it.
Other than that, i am off up to Morecambe to pick DS up who has been house sitting for his gran:D Will be nice to have him back. I have also just about recovered from weekend's abseiling and archery and drink
That's about it.
