Terminate them into a patch panel, then run lines from your master telephone point to the patch panel also. That way you can always mix'n'match your data and telephone lines in the future just by switching the plugs in the panel.
Thanks again - by any chance do you have an online guide that would point me in the right direction? Pictures speak 1000 words and all that! lol"The future needs a big kiss"0 -
I would suggest a larger board, 12 or 14 way (room for expansion)
Make sure the DB is decent (Wylex/Crabtree/Volex have been subject to a product recall due to burnung issues),
MK are ok, less reliable recently. I would recommend Hager now.
Spots will either be GU10 (mains halogen) or 12V Halogen
12V are harder to dim (more problematic)baldly going on...0 -

Right - I'll specify I want a 12 way Hager DB.

Apparently the GU10 give off a good bright light? Do you have any opinions on LED spots? I'm also wondering if it's worthwhile getting ones that are adjustable in direction.
Can I ask for your rough opinion on the quote itself? does it sound reasonable etc?"The future needs a big kiss"0 -

Don't forget to put in a connections for the TV, I would put at least 2 there properly and for me it would be 4 hook ups and for me personal there would be a hook in the kitchen.
I would do two connection in each bedroom. One behind where the stereo normally lives and four in office if you got one. Bit overkill but its better to have too many as adding more can be a pain.
To save having a dangling ASDL filter in your router cupboard

I've proberly made it look more complicates than actually is.

Steve, you've just blown my mind! I'll have to spend some time reading through all that, and no doubt I'll be pm'ing you!
Cheers!
anyone else - opinions on my quote?"The future needs a big kiss"0 -
Personal wouldn't link the incomeing phone line into the patch panel. I was a bit sleepy at the time I would use this instead http://www.screwfix.com/prods/41454/...ADSL-Faceplate instead.
Then i would replace the other adaptor and phone spilter by making my own Bt to multiple RJ45 link. It would consist of a Bt phone cable with one end cut off. Then the each individual conductor separated and the end striped of insulation and screwed down into a terminal block. Then lines run from that block each of the require(one for each phone)to RJ45 connection blocks.0
