too scared of what or whom, you sticking your tongue out simply because someone works for a financial institution or is it just bankers you dislike?
I didn't realise that you had to disclose your occupation before being allowed to post on this website.
Now Now - no need to be a smart arsey is there chattie?
Point of this thread is to get the bank employees to come and speak up, tell us who they work for - anything else they may wish to disclose etc etc.... obviously you are free to create an AE if you prefer not to use your real username, its a fact finding mission.
The tongue comment was a joke, I hate bankers - not the individuals, the actual bankers (in the tru sense of the word) and the employers, i.e. the banks themselves. No secret there, so what? What does it matter? Does it change anything? Nope, so what is the problem here exactly?2010 - year of the troll

I might have sounded a bit harsh earlier. I am not having a dig at all staff who work in banks. I do apologise Niddy if I have lowered the tone of your thread as i know this is an honest exercise for you to chat with people who work in banks. It would be nice if anyone posts.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Hi SW, I don't work for a bank (don't work at all in fact- great!) but your posts made me laugh so much.0 -

We might need some chat up lines for bankers? As they are too busy to talk. Any ideas?
Get Elsie and Jinny in here, bet they can come up with some good chat-up lines.0 -
Hi there I work for a massive bank which is big in the City but not in the UK for consumers. I am not in finance though I work in IT, and if it was found out I was in debt could be in big trouble am sure.0

Please can we remain on topic - less smileys, less gossip and stick to the point in hand or i'll close this thread and start again. I actually want to be seen to be taking this seriously and establish some base ground - not sit here slagging off banks or the employees.
Please guys, be considerate and keep personal feelings at bay, lets hear from the workers and see their points of view. Sorry if this sounds like i'm being a bossy sod but it irks me spending time creating threads for a reason that get trashed with nonsense.
We don't want chat up lines on here, it is irrelevant to the thread!
Thanks!2010 - year of the troll

Hi thanks for your input, however you cannot get into trouble for being in debt - it happens to the best of us. The only exception would be if you're in debt relevant to the cause of work, so a front line counter clerk at Natwest could be dismissed for having a default or CCJ registered, however for back office staff with no influence on financial procedures or processes would not be dismissed.
It is all to do with risk - people in debt may well try and obtain funds illegally, in order to get out of debt, ergo don't let an alcoholic work in pub sort of thing......
I can guess the bank from what you said, these guys do not affect this survey - its more the local UK based ones we're looking for not the likes of Chase (JP Morgan) / Bank of America etc etc2010 - year of the troll
