Tax Disc runs out today - OK to drive tomorrow?

The thing I would check is even though the DVLA let you drive your car untaxed your insurance company may not........Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0

So rather than spend £2.50 on a fee to tax your car online, you'd prefer to run the risk of either getting a fine or worse still being involved in an accident and told you are not covered.
Not moneysaving to me..0 -

When did your insurance expire?? I have found that i couldn't tax online when my insurance renewal date was 30th january until 31st jan despit agreeing renewal weeks before. It's like the DVLA computer sees insurance certificates in yearly blocks and it will only replace the date once the new policy actually in force.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

When you finally get things ready to pay for your tax disc, consider only buying 6 months (I don't know if you were thinking of 6 or 12 months now as I can't see your original post while I'm composing this!).
As I mentioned to someone else earlier, if you get 6 months this time and then in 6 months time you pay for 12 months and then continue getting the 12 months each year you will have offset the tax and the insurance/MOT timings.
Hope you get it sorted soon.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

I don't know what I would do if I ever had to have MOT work done AND pay for my car tax!
