I ordered mine on Thursday but it didn't come. I have been phoning them and at last today I was told that the courier only delivers to our area on Tuesdays and Thursdays, soI'll get mine tomorrow. However, they are going to give me a further £20 free airtime since they hadn't informed me of the delay.
They are a good lot.

Many thanks to the OP and others that have added to this thread.
Ordered 8 last night at around 7pm and all 8 arrived midday today.
Why 8?
The staff in the charity office (the one that benefited from the CPW deal year before last) have been moaning that they have to use their own mobiles when out on business for us. This was a pain to claim back the call costs via expenses.
This gives us a cheap (can't get much cheaper than £2) way to give all the staff we have that go out on our business that require mobiles (we have always given our advocates mobiles as a safety measure because they go into some dodgy areas and into some dodgy homes etc. + we spend some £40,000 a year on mobiles that we give to carers, although now we give CPW vouchers rather than physical phones as getting hold of 100 decent phones at a time was getting impossible for us. We just gave our advocates some of these.).
Buying these all in one go gave us almost sequential numbers (18 -28 for some reason 24, 5 and 6 went to someone else!) so makes it easier for getting hold of staff too.
The next moan will be, you mean we ain't getting V3's!I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

I am going through hell with Virgin Mobile at the moment, trying to get my phone unlocked.
I put £30 credit on and asked for the unlocking code. Nothing had arrived after 28 days, so I called them and they said they couldn't unlock it because the IMEI wasn't on their database and hence the phone wasn't theirs. Of course, they didn't actually call me to tell me that.
Despite the phone having Virgin Mobile indelibly branded on it, Virgin Mobile logos appearing on its display at every opportunity, the box having a sticker saying "your Virgin Mobile joining pack is inside this box" and having a security seal, and the IMEI reported by the phone matching the sticker under the battery and the stickers on the box, they still refuse to acknowlege it is theirs, and refuse to refund the remainder of the £30 I put on it in order to get the unlocking code.
They suggested I called the Carphone Warehouse to see if they had sold it - they hadn't. They suggested I took it into a Virgin Megastore so that it could be examined to verify it looked like one of theirs and perhaps it could be changed - but then they wouldn't authorise that after I went to the trouble of taking it to a shop.
Eventually they said they would credit me with another £10 if I got it unlocked (it's a Sendo M550 - cannot be unlocked for free). Of course that means I have to find a market stall, hope they don't !!!!!! the phone, and hope they don't charge me more than £10. And it means I need to give more money back to Virgin in the form of profit margins on extra call credit.
But then I called Sendo, and eventually got through to the Head Office who told me that it definitely WAS a genuine phone sold to Virgin, and if Virgin would contact them via their normal channels, they would tell them so.
But Virgin's customer service call centre from hell won't accept this. They keep telling me they can't give me an unlocking code because the IMEI is not on their database so they can't prove it is a Virgin phone - even though Sendo will confirm that it is and hence supply them with the unlocking code!
I am awaiting further developments.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Further developments: they've called me back, saying they've spoken to Sendo about it and will fill in a form or something.
Why couldn't they just have told me before that they would speak to Sendo, like I was asking for? And they're now telling me that their team managers are very happy to talk to punters on the phone, whilst before they were telling me that they couldn't do that. It's all subtle psychology to imply that it's the customer who's being awkward and they are the ones doing all they can to help me.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
This week I ordered a Samsung X450 for my husband and it arrived next day. £53.99 with £25.00 credit on it. Lovely little phone. So I decided I would have one too, then we will be on the same network.
It was scheduled for next day delivery, so i hung around most of the day waiting for it. I called them at 3.00pm to say it hadn't arrived (i knew that most couriers have finished with us by then) and they said that they could still arrive until 7.00pm. I said fine and the guy confirmed that it "was" on the van. Of course you've guessed it, 7pm came and went and no phone.
I called them at 8.30 this morning and they called me back at 9.15 to say that there had been a mix up....blah blah....so i moaned a bit about hanging around waiting on it...and they gave me £10.00 airtime for free, and guaranteed it would be here by 2pm. Arrived at 1.30pm with an apology from the Lynx driver.
So happy bunny here in Stranraer.Regards

You would have been an even happier bunny if you had said,"£10 is that all?"
That's what I said and they raised it to £20.00.

Does anyone know if the airtime with Virgin expires, or if you are required to top up every three months etc?
Thanks!I :heart2: Waitrose0 -
Ordered two phones with virgin, they said that the call vouchers do not expire which is great.
Also, rang them on 01225 895555, which is the Virgin Head Office switchboard - they will put you through to customer service/sales department, which is nicer than having to pay for the 0845 number (http://www.saynoto0870.com).
Thanks for the post!I :heart2: Waitrose0
