Wireframe - Is this to your satisfaction? Such a fuss about grammar & text colour... tut tut

I wasn't the only one to suggest you use a different colour, I don't know why you've singled me out. But yes.

To the op, can you not use your considerable spare time (seeing as your oh looks after the children) to either look for something closer to you or more hours. As saying you drive round the south east makes it sound like you do a lot of driving. As you state you live rural I therefor accept your circumstances and have some sympathy.

And as you only do 20 hours per week is there not anything your oh can do work wise?. If you live rural there must surely be form of seasonal labouring farm work he could do this time of year.
Ummmmm, I'm not the OP in all of this, was simply pointing out that I do NEED a car, as I need it for work etc. I in fact work full time, as does my OH in order to support our five children. Spare time to look for even more hours isn't something I have the privilege of, nor the desire to do, nor the need to do so. :)

I am disgusted by the way my post and me for that fact has been treated. I AM NOT WORK SHY, I HAVE 4 CHILDREN BECAUSE I CHOOSE TOO. If i worked more than 20 hours a wk we would be worse off and yes i wouldn't be able to feed or provide for my brood. I am not Vicki Pollard as one poster said. I came on here for some advice and all i seem to have gotten (bar a very few ) is abuse. As stated my wages pay my rent, council tax and car insurance and yes i do NEED a car to be able to go and work my crappy 20 hours a wk job. At least i DO work and not sit on my backside all day wanting the tax payer (ie ME!!!!) to pay for me and my kids. My husband cant work due to injury and therefore stays at home with OUR children which in this day and age is a very rare thing, Me personnally i dont like my children being dumped in a private nursery/childminder i like my children at home. I have asked for more hours at work but there aren't any i do my best for my family. I have health problems and could very well "live off the state" but i choose to go to work and pay my tax like a good mum and wife and all you lot can do is abuse someone who was asking for help and advice???? you should be ashamed of yourselves and i for one will not be coming back and would never recommend this forum to anyone i know.

    Shame on you!!!!

To those how have given advice and stood my corner i thank you XXXX

You choose to have kids you cant fully support and whilst Im a in the same boat I work full time. If your hubby is a stay at home dad like mine there should not be a need for childcare. I do sympathise that you are stuck at the moment but at the same time feel you are selfish to think that having loads of kids whilst wotking part time is acceptable.

  • I hope the tax credits are sorted sooner rather than later for you. Until they are perhaps you can use rent/bill money to support your family and then catch up with those payments later x

I also hope that things work out for your family and your reconcilliation with your husband is going well. Money worries never help, but at least you are all a family and together xx

Quite! It is very clearly your choice to have four children and one of you stay at home with them and therefore you are wrong to bemoan the generous system that allows you these choices just because it doesn't jump to your every need!

Then I appolgise to you and the op therefor, rather similar user names in a way me thinks so sorry again. But my points remain, justification is needed to state what they use tax credits for running a car when they have 4 children to feed.

Though negative comments dont help the op, there are issues that are unanswered. What was her circumstances prior and upto the forth child?. And does she live rural at all or was it a lifestyle choice?. If living rural was a lifestyle choice (if she does) then I find little symphapy for the situation she now finds herself in. As unless there is a very good reason why the oh cant work then why wont he apart from the "I cant get a job where I live" line exists?.

No not talking down my nose either as I dont work and highly frustrated at a system that wont allow me on IB to gain funding in an area to train for work qualification where I know vacancies exist in my area is such industries but the government give millions to the likes of A4E where they are highly unsuitable to the majority long term!.

So the op had 4 children never intending to work more than 20 hours per week because she would loose the benefits she enjoys. She CHOSE to have 4 children and live on benefits even if she worked part time!!!!!.
