How many houses did you view before finding the right home?

At least a dozen, drove me nuts but we got what we wanted in the end so it was worth it.

I can't remember how many exactly we viewed before buying this one but we looked at loads with no joy before walking in here and feeling at home, we actually moved in 5 weeks after viewing it for the first time.

One memorable viewing was a very small house where they had 3 Irish wolfhounds and 7 cats :eek: they left them all in the sitting room whilst we were looking round. They said the house had been on the market for months with no offers, no wonder the place was minging, I went straight home and jumped in the shower.

We viewed just 4. We knew which we were going to buy before seeing any of them, but viewed the other 3 just to make sure.

It helped that we knew the area well, so we knew what to expect for the price.

First one! It ticked all the boxes and time was short. Moving across country also menat that viewings were hard to arrange.

Now I've been waiting another 2 1/2 months to exchange contracts. Get on with it! My tenancy's running out where I am!

Our first house we looked at the outside of 3 houses, saw this one and bought it from the outside view (it was the only one we viewed internally) This time round we viewed lots from the outside, 6 internally and offered on 3 that had the right potential.

This time, two, and we've bought the second one. We only looked at the first one at all because we'd travelled a long way and it was the same person showing us round both of them, so we thought we might as well.
