Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Have the little grey wheels fallen off on one side of the dishwasher basket, Triker? I usually only notice mine have when the basket jumps off its runners and crashes into the plates underneath - they're generally behind the linen bin.

LW ta v. much for the cab numbers - they could well come in handy, especially for the end of the day school! Just think - 19,000 people listened to something you had to say and agreed with it!

DD2 is very happy with her iPod touch and her microscope - she has been examining my rock collection kit, especially the iron pyrite, and had a lovely day with her friend, buying purple tutus, metallic purple nail varnish, net gloves and magenta and purple clip in hair streaks from the local Goth shop. (I managed not to laugh at the two baby Goths when they came out of the changing rooms). They then proceeded to try on the most ridiculous shoes and boots in the shoe shop - I suspect the shop assistants were resting their hopes on my buying lots of footwear in there (like I tend to do every 3 months), as they weren't kicked out of the shop even after half an hour!

Finally, DD2's friend was picked up by her Dad and gave me a lovely hug for being so nice to her - I did wonder whether her mum would be so impressed with the goth gear, but I am sure we shall find out by next week!

Just have to decide whether, after driving lessons, bills, drum lessons for DD and all the other things looming for the summer, if I should also get an iPod touch or just stick to the bass guitar lessons I was aiming for?

My safety goggles arrived today and the labcoat is in the post - DD has informed me that I need to dye my hair burgundy or dark purple in honour of my first labcoat day. :D

SO: Decisions - iPod or Bass Guitar? Burgundy or Purple?

Back to the important things in life :D

If you have time to practise regularly, go for the guitar lessons. If not, the iPod. Unless the guitar teacher is really nice, in which case I'd chose the lessons , anyway. :p
As for the hair - how about burgundy with purple streaks??? :D

Yes, they keep committing suicide by ditching themselves into the dishwasher, its a £30 special out of the paper we got to manage for a week or so....erm about 4 years ago...:o

I'm having a real problem locating 80cm cookers, hubby informed me all the wiring for the matching cooker hood is behind the tiling so changing sizes isn't an option.

I may just stick to my remoska...bugrit, off to eat some food or summat.

    BTW Ipods are great.:D

Piggers is your grill thing under warranty?

Hope Toots and Lady L are ok, been very quiet here girls.....:(

Can I ask a question of all gardening flyladies? DS2's playhouse has 3 wooden window boxes, and I can't find plastic containers small enough to fit. What would be the best way to plant in them? I was thinking of a plastic liner, i.e. a black sack cut up, with a few holes for drainage. I'm off to run a bath and do some watering. x

Do you mean you can't get one tray to fit? How about planting small pots with things, and putting 2 or 3 into the window box? That way you can [STRIKE]put new ones in if some die[/STRIKE] ring the changes :D

DH took me out for a walk through the fields and along the river, then we stopped for beer

Will post my lsit then see you all tomorrow :A

    Evening all

All caught up here and that was after mowing the lawn front and back when I got in from work:A I wanted to do it before Mum did! She does so much (as does Dad) for us that I didn't want her to think I am taking advantage. You can bet your bottom $ she would have done it tomorrow otherwise. Anyway it looks loads better and hopefully will spur the neighbours on to do theirs. They had a letter form the letting agent saying they were breaking terms of the lease by having a scruffy garden, I wonder who might have dobbed them in!

Miss A is home and shattered with a capital S! She had a great time :D Her washing has been done already, am going to put it on the airer overnight to dry it.

Not a huge amount done as we had a sneaky day at the Crich Tramway museum as we have free entry for the year now. Nice to think that W was enjoying the play park the day before.

:T We shall have to organise a meet there in the summer hols as W wants to take Miss A there, wonder who else might want to meet. If anyone is interested PM me an email address and I'll try to get something organised.
