I know there's an official list out there somewhere but right now, work is rather more time consuming than normal - so am doing bits and pieces..

    I have :

Cleaned the kitchen including mopping the floor (yay - that must mean I'm ahead on tomorrow's list!)
Washed two loads, put the dry stuff away (still not half way through my free sample washing powder - it's lasting well)
    Swept all the floors

    Still need to :

    Change the bed
Sort the gibble on top of the microwave - mainly post. I foolishly opened another bank account (to get the Vantage 4%) and Lloyds have sent me 7 seperate pieces of post this week alone. That's added to all the other carp that has collected there this week...

TBH - that's probably enough for one day

Thanks again people - your support is wonderful! DH and I are busy making a huge list of things that need to be done that use existing materials or little cost, and it looks like my hand built oak kitchen is zooming up the list as we have most of the materials in hand :j:j.

Mrs Chaos - our playhouse ('rhubarb cottage') has a window box which is lined with a rubble sack with some holes in it and a bit of gravel shoved in the bottom for drainage. Use any plastic, poke some holes in and you will be fine. It is just to stop it from rotting quickly.

Not a huge amount done as we had a sneaky day at the Crich Tramway museum as we have free entry for the year now. Nice to think that W was enjoying the play park the day before.

I have done lots of outside sorting so the recycling is very full. Tomorrow we are going to fill my car with junk for the tip so DH and I can take it. The licence is in his name so he has to be with me, so just another advantage of the current situation she says in a Pollyanna styley.

DW done, WM on. Really need to make a start on ROD the DR clearance asap.

Lamewolf - I enjoyed the blog too.

I'd forgotten how much hard work it is cleaning my bedroom windows - I've built up a good old sweat, and my arms are killing me, but they are looking much better on the inside now. Shame about the outside being so filthy.

How did everyone else get on in their HHCs?

I did in my HHC which turned into just over an hour HHC

    S + S Kitchen
Put DS toys away and decluttered him to bed just wish he would go to sleep:mad:
    Watered Garden
    Hoovered all downstairs
Made a Chocolate Devils cake nom nom
And had a phonecall from my mum thanking me for sorting out my grandads care arrangements for the next few weeks as my nan is going in for an op on monday it was nice of her but I didn't need to be thanked it's my grandad and feel guilty for living so far away I should be looking after him myself still at least i know he is going to be well looked after.

Can I ask a question of all gardening flyladies? DS2's playhouse has 3 wooden window boxes, and I can't find plastic containers small enough to fit. What would be the best way to plant in them? I was thinking of a plastic liner, i.e. a black sack cut up, with a few holes for drainage. I'm off to run a bath and do some watering. x

Black sack and holes sounds a good idea, also put the plants in the pots in the window boxes rather than planting straight in the box.

    My plants watered
    Cat photographed
Fence paint found about 5lts only, so need to buy a load more
    Dinner decluttered

Thank you. The plants are outside already: lobelia, calendula grown from seed and nasturtiums if they are happy to trail rather than climb - looks like I'll be planting tomorrow.

Kazwookie - thanks. The boxes are not very deep, so I'll give the plastic a try first. Have you tried wilkinson's for paint? I don't know what the quality of their own brand stuff is, though.
