    Went to Budapest a couple of weeks ago and had a cracking time. Got a great deal through Jet2 that fly direct from Manchester.

    Stayed at the City Panzio Ring which is in a great location on the Pest side, near St Stephens and Parliament which cost £25 per night. Got this price through hotelscomparison and then hotelspronto.

    When I was there, tickets were going at the Opera for around £3 which makes it cheaper than the guided tour. Also, I visited the new terror museum housed in the old secret police building on Andrassy which was very informative and very moving.

    I found that it didn't really matter where you went as the architecture surroundings are absolutely magnificent. Hope you have a great time.

    Off to Budapest on Monday for a week (flying with WhizzAir). Approx £200 all in for a four star hotel (bed and buffet breakfast) and flights, etc, for the three of us. Really looking forward to it. :D
