I placed an order today (with free delivery code) and the free votive candles flashed up as £1.95 sale price but £4.50 when I put them through checkout.

I just shot off a quick email to Bombay Duck - I will be asking for relevant refund on all 3 candles (to reflect sale price) ASAP.

    Not happy

My mistake - when displaying the sale votive candles - the sale prices come up - watch out as these are all sold out - despite what BD says on the display for these (they say, *available* or *low stock* for certain ones which is really misleading to me as it seems to let you add this to your basket as a *sale* low stock item.

I'll be pointing this out to BD tomorrow and maybe they'll let me off the remainder of price with the above para! If not, just swallow the whole price.

    :(

    Hello,

I know we're not allowed to post codes on here but I found one for 20% off at Bombay Duck over on HDUK. You can't use it in conjunction with the free postage but it your order is over about £25, it makes better sense to use this rather than the postage code. I ordered the wild west curtains, lamp shade and a candle. I got 2 sets of the curtains and am going to use them to make bedding, cushions or to cover some cheap frames as wall art as the applique looks like quite good quality and could make for a really lovely room for my little boy. Total came to about £32 so with a bit of cutting and stitching (...from my Mum) could be a really lovely room!

Been having an absolute nightmare with sale prices and BD website not displaying correct prices for mini votive candles and then charging me full price. The sale votives showed as 'low availability' etc but still seemed to be able to be ordered and added to my checkout basket. BD trying to give me run around and saying their web dept hasn't updated their webpage - which p*sses me right off to be honest.

Had a missed call from them on my mobile this afternoon and NO FURTHER EMAIL as yet or message left for me on voicemail.

After being messed around (see above post) and threatening to tell a forum about them, have now managed to get a special 15% discount code with Bombay Duck.

Unsure if this can be used with the sale items and what I realled wanted aren't on sale even not at sale price.

But kudos to BD to giving me a special discount code. However, now their £4.95 delivery charge is back on.

sorry - I got a £15 discount voucher (not code) - when applied to order (ie sale items) this worked out really well.

And I found some more candles in a pretty bag which although they weren't the same as the mini votives in gift bags are still really nice and a bargain. I only paid about £7 for a mini handbag mirror, 3 sets of candles in giftbags, 2 sets of candles in a box! Result and well done Bombay Duck for sorting this out and being so generous to me.

    :D
