ordered mine on 31st May.. confirmation on 1st June. Still no delivery, but, in fairness, the email order acknowledgement states "delivery by end of June". Just got to be patient, I suppose. :)

Is there any chance of a new del code, as the previous one isn't working anymore??? I'm doing a community project atm, and need to get plug plants and the cheapest cost asap really... can anyone tell me how long did your order take to arrive pls??

I haven't received any part of the offer yet. Haven't received my sale seeds either, so much for delivery within 7 days. Mind you I don't know if I missed a parcel this morning. Doorbell went and by the time I got up and found my keys the parcel postie was driving away... So I don't know if it was something for me and he's left it next door, or if it was something for next door and they were slow in getting to the door but got it. (If you know what I mean you're doing well! :rotfl:)

Went out to the greenhouse earlier and some of the fuchsia plugs are not looking happy. Looks like only a few are going to survive out of the 15 I recently got.

I got my sale seeds last weekend but have't got any of the chelsea offer - they do seem slow to get out plants.

Have you tried splitting your order up. Using the GW544 I can only order one at a time to get free p&p (not including seeds). This doesn't work for everything though. It also helps to go through Gardeners world website. I tend to open the window through gardeners world and add what I want to my basket, including a gardeners world offer. I then close the window and go through quidco. Go to basket, delete the gardeners world offer and add the free p&p code. This is trial and error really. So after all that it still doesn't always work.

Got my parcel in the end, was 2 roses I'd ordered ages ago from plantoffers. I ordered both lots of seeds on the 31st. If they don't appear tomorrow I think I'll contact them. I agree plants from them are always slow.

For the project you're doing I wouldn't be buying plugs tbh. Not only are T&M slow at sending plants out, plugs are going to take a good bit of time to get going. I'd try somewhere like Morrisons, B&Q or even Homebase (got reduced trays of perfectly good bedding from them a few times.). Poundland do nice brackets and you can get cheap hanging baskets from there or B&Q have ones in the value range.

thanks for the advice about T&M. i've got two sources where i could get my plants from (pots of indiv. plants and strips of lobelia etc) and they're all local family-owned businesses. i know that plugs are used in hanging baskets made up by commercial suppliers, and they would of been done some time ago, say april time when the plants would of had time to establish. that way, they get to have a v big display. whereas for the public to buy the plants now, they'd be indiv potted plants that are quite root-bound and already in flower. plugs are much cheaper and therefore you're able to plant up a basket full with loads of flowers for the rest of the season.

When you buy baskets, the plants are the same size as the ones you'd be planting now. If you were planting them in April I'd say go for the plugs.

Yes, plugs are much cheaper, I bought a load around March time, but at this time of year you'd be taking a gamble if it's summer colour you want. Mine have taken 3 months to get to the flowering stage.

But hey, each to their own and all that.

I know, I have to try and remember that I have a small garden! I'm going to have to start using the walls at this rate! :rotfl:

  • Same here, mine were planted up end up march and are about to come into flower, in my experience I think plugs take forever too, they were false economy for me.

That's why am so blerdy deperate to get my order in case they've sent some plug plants!! I certainly won't be ordering off them again.
Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!
