Wake-up Call Challenge

Hi Dragon, this is a brilliant challenge. Please can I join? I may need more than a kick up the b**t to stay on track though. I have a long long long list of things that I need a wake-up call. Much to long to list fully so I'll go over my lists and come back with just a few to get me started. Thanks for starting this challenge.Save £12k in 2017 #14

Dragon,
you are a clever mind reading saviour :T.
It is now 2 years that I've been hanging around here bleating on about losing the debt & the weight.
Sign me up please, will return with the specifics later ( when I get my own head around them )
Thank you lady :A0 -
i think for me losing weight is the key, it's rules my life at the moment and seriously limits what i can do. Plus i'm very realistic about my employability chances and as we're under review at work i really need to do something. today i have brought my gym bag in from the car so i can put my stuff on tomorrow and go there and not have the excuse that it takes me longer to get changed than it does to actually do what they've recommended i do.0

Elantan - I think everything with me is linked, if my health is good (or better - the chances of me being able to walk again without crutches are slim to nil), then my house will be tidier, if my house is better I feel relaxed enough to stitch and I don't want to go out for lunch therefore spending money I don't really have!

Hey all
The 'weight' issue seems to be a big one for a lot of us. I know I used to be a comfort eater, big time, most of all when I could least afford it, of course, lol!
I have a friend who is a personal trainer and he helped me work out that the extra weight I was carrying was caused by a gluten and wheat intolerance. I went through quite a stringent way of eating for a month where I didn't eat anything containing wheat or gluten - bread, pasta, rice, cakes, desserts, cereals etc. I also cut out all dairy too. In that month, not only did I lose weight effortlessly, but the IBS, migraines and excrutiating period pains all disappeared. As soon as I tried anything gluten/wheat based, I had horrendous IBS and bloating retun within an hour or so.
Since then, I've lost 3 stones in weight, am feeling much healthier and am far less lethargic Han I used to to be. I've added back some dairy into my diet, but essentially eat lots of veg, meat, fruit and can eat the yummy treats without putting weight on. I have a flat stomach for the first time in years and hav gone from a size 16/18 down to a 10/12.
I'm not saying that this will defintely work for you, but it might help. Look up 'anti inflammatory diet' on the net - this will give you some other pointers too.
Just a thought, anyway!
