Pretty good for £59 that - I believe my renewal with Skoda Assistance will be more (for the same level of cover)

Try Chris Knott they do a good package for roadside assistance.

Who I can call if my car is broke down but I do not have a roadside assistance cover?? My car is only 1 year old so its still under toyota warranty. Who I can call if my car is broken down? Toyota dealer??? Today I had a puncture in my tyre and I was fortunate as I had a spare one in my car. I managed to change the tyre without calling roadside assistance. I am a female driver so I asked my mate to do it for me. What I can do if my car is broken down?
Things such as flat tyres, punctures, flat batteries, etc are not covered under your manufacturer warranty and never will be.
The reason that sort of crap isn't covered is because it comes under the blanket of basic maintenance and "consumables".

While contributions such as those by "harveyhobbles" are not constructive, he (or she) does have a valid point about the driving test being changed to include the basics of road use.

All that crap aside, if you are really worried about something as simple as a flat tyre being a concern - then pay the £59 and carry on as you are.

I just wanted to find out whether all new car owners have one? What to do if you do not have one and your car is broken down?

If your car breaks down and you do not have breakdown cover, then you are going to get screwed (financially that is).

Note that breakdown cover is not down to the dealer/manufacturer, it is down to the owner to organise.

Get a mate to tow you or be prepared to get your wallet out.

Until recently the cover was through RAC it's recently changed to being with the AA if you do a quote on the AA website you'll see that the Toyota Club cost is a huge saving over the AA quote. I really don't think you would do better elsewhere.
