trying to play an 'avi' file on windows media player?? help!- UPDATE NEW PROBLEM :(

Now maybe someone will be able to explain how to download and install the correct codec for Windows Media Player.

ok i've downloaded some already recommended - and then opened them- so then do i just try and play it in media player again? or should i be doing something else? because it works in vcl but says it's only 1.45?

Uninstall whatever other codec packs you have applied, and then download & install the K Lite Mega Codec Pack from the link below
