in a pickle about my Sky contract and house move
Comments
-
If your moving home and the new house has a dish and a sky+ setup (2 feeds) there will be no charge to move your sky tv
if not its £60
Moving BB and phone has no cost as long as its the first time within a 12 mth spell.
If you start as a new customer (can be done) you WILL loose your home phone number a BB username and email. These cant be churned from sky to sky.0 -
UPDATE:
I decided to keep my Sky contract and transfer it to the new house. I rang Sky's moving department who wanted £60 for the move (sky engineer to come out & possibly a new dish, etc). They couldn't slash the price for me so I said I would think about it and call back. I actually rang the cancellation department instead and said £60 was too steep with all my other moving costs. The chap on the phone said £60 was very good for everything that has to be done, etc but I stuck to my guns and asked them to halve the cost otherwise I would have to cancel. Got the move for £30!! I am very happy because the cost is less, I have no worry about trying to 'get away' with being a new customer AND it will be installed the day after we move!
Just want to say thank you for everyone who gave me advice. It really helped me to make a decision on this one.0
