I would tend to agree but if someone is clearly cheating the system and can work more hours than what they say they can why should get away with it?
benefit cheats only make it more harder for genuine folk to claim :mad:Total DebtWas £4145.81now £0.000 -
I would report the fraudster! It may only seem like a little bit of money to some, but if eberyone did it we'd be a hell of alot worse off as a country!
Why should people get away with cheating the system! I would report him in a heartbeat, as long as I was sure I had my facts straight, which it sounds like you do!0 -
Atleast the guy is trying to work and earn himself some money !!!!!!!!
Bloody hell, its not like hes going beating up little babies and stealing their money and food!!
Hes on benefits getting paiud a crappy ridiculously low amount of money!
And so hes trying to do something to help himself financially, while at the same time gain work experience and get new skills.
But is only getting paid £800 per month for it, so less than 1/2 of what he would likely need from a salary just to live a basic standard of life!
Why dont you focus on your own life instead of trying to cause problems for others!
No, there's no mention of anyone beating up babies - I believe you'd be better off on another forum for that. However, the simple fact is that anyone participating in benefit fraud is stealing from those people who pay taxes. To me stealing is wrong, if you feel it is justified I suggest you find yourself another forum.“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Benefit fraud hotline: Didn't the Nazi's have a policy of denounciations too

Seriously, I sincerely doubt that a work colleague would actually be so open if he is committing fraud, and if he is a good friend and has confided in you/your husband, then surely as a friend you should confront him first to a) confirm he actually is cheating, and then b) if you hold any value to your friendship (as he must do to you, in order to confide in you) then give him the opportunity of stopping it now. If he refuses, then serve him an ultimatum.
Yes, he may have already gotten away with a few quid, but there are bigger fraudsters running our government, and our banks. This guy is probably doing it for the essentials, like food and rent. Not Yachts and Moats. He done wrong yes. Perhaps you can make him see sense? All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0 -

His parents bought him a house. He gets £200 a week for two days work, cash in hand, as well as his regular wages. He can easily afford food.
OP: He's a thief. Shop him.0 -
Well tbh OP i think you're talking a load of ballarix
Maybe you just have a lot of time on your hands, I don't know, but how the hell would you know the ins and outs of this blokes life?
How do you know for sure he's getting CT benefit?
How do you know for sure it's cash in hand as opposed to him being SE and just picking up his wages?
I don't for a second believe this person is openly admitting to being a benefit fraud
You're obviously one of those 'stand at the bottom of the garden' and gossip types
It'll ony be a matter of time before 'your mate' finds out you've reported him
Honestly OP get a hobby or somethingFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

Yes, well you've made your position on fraud of all types perfectly clear on the many other names you've had which have been PPR'd. It amazes me that you keep returning.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

£200 cash in hand for 2 days work a week is hardly low paid (plus another minimum wage job too)
Really depends what you mean by benefits though-a small amount of council tax credit , heck it could even be something like DLA which is not related to income.
Really it's up to you. Although as you refer to them as a "friend" I'm not sure I'd want to be your friend-someone who can't tell me what they think to my face but talks about me behind my back.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Yeah I would stay out of it, there is no way you know exactly what benefit he's on, if he's on something like DLA he may not want to say cos he's embarrassed or something. Everyone has secrets, just leave him alone. There's no point in upsetting your friendship. What people tell you and what's really going on are sometimes two things, so it may be that there is more to his story than you know. I wouldn't be concerned, but can understand why you might be.0
