Good luck!, It's a rollercoaster ride, strap yourself in and enjoy.
I found a spreadsheet really helpful to keep track of all your spendings. I started with a simple Excel sheet but now have 6 tags which cater for all the money we have and all the money we spend. It also has a section for keeping track of any money you put away to pay for car tax, birthdays, insurance & holiday etc. If you like I can send this out if anyone needs it. I know it helped me a great deal and still is, maybe it may be a benefit to someone else.Present Day / 22nd May 2010

Regarding the calls abroad, is it not cheaper to get a bolt on for one of the mobiles? I know O2 have a bolt on, I think is £20 and includes 3000 minutes to landlines abroad and 200 mins to mobiles and a 'call me' number. (My sis lives abroad) Hope that helps.
Well done for posting and good luck x0
