Just look at their advert on TV - nuff said!!
One thing is certain, you might think it's a good deal, but it won't be. Windows are cheap. Fitting is £120 per man per day, so when you hand over thousands, you are paying over the top for materials, over the top for labour and over the top for the salesman over the top for the sales managers cut, the owners cut......
Use a small window firm that give you a price per window and cost to fit it and add it all up that way to see how many pockets you are lining with firms like Safestyle.0 -
We have had two house's windows done by safestyle and was very pleased with the windows, fitting and price. In this house they have also been back and done the huge side of the pourch window and the front and back doors. Had a problem with the french window not locking properly, phoned, they came out the next day and said the door had dropped slightly. A few tweeks of the hinge with a screwdriver and job done. Because of the kids banging the back door with the locking mecanisim out it got bent and wouldn't always lock first time. I phoned them they came out a couple of days later, fitted a new strip and also took the handles off and tightened them up as I hadn't noticed but there was a bit of "play" in them. Very good and I would recomend them.0

If you look at the independant website quoted, safestyle appears to be a good one. From the safestyle website on manufacturing, they use Pilkington Low E, 100% recycling, jobs in the UK, Fensa. Can't comment on the quality, as I've never used them myself.0

Not used them myself but a friend did & had all sorts of problems with the bay window - they had to (reluctantly) come back several times. Now been in for less than 4 yrs and looking a bit the worse for wear - she's in the process of checking the warantee. She wouldn't use them again. Do you know anyone in the area that's had new windows recently? Could you ask them who they used & if they'd recommend them?0

We had every window in the entire house done by Safestyle last year (in Bristol), including new french doors off the dining room, and the experience was mixed.
Good stuff, well they were competitively priced and could start a lot quicker than the other companies we tried (bearing in mind the existing windows were falling out and it was November, and we hadn't yet had the central heating installed, speed of install was an issue!), fitters and salesman were friendly and helpful
Bad stuff, well the surveyor they sent round measured the main bay window wrong, leading to a delay whilst they made a new one - although to be fair they did produce a new one fairly quickly - they also had to do a new bathroom window as the one they put in was quite frankly a wonky pile of rubbish and should never have been installed (The transom was completely on the skew). Finish was ok for all windows, they did a lovely job on the french doors - however lounge window wasn't sealed properly so I had to redo.
After a years use, I'd say build quality is good enough. The french doors get the most use and the door handle is a now a teensy bit loose, but generally nothing to complain about.
One mild annoyance is a get a phonecall from Safestyle every month or so asking if I want my windows done. I have to explain every time they've already done the entire house.....
So I wouldn't recommend them, but then I'm not spewing bile over the whole thing either.0 -

The guy is very nice who comes round for your money.
They do not know who is coming to do your windows.
A few of the handles are lose, the idiots overscrewed them into the frame. Covers for the screws missing. Cheap plastic finishing on the inside and not put in straight. The plastic is STUCK on so just comes lose after a while if on your wall. The wood for sill inside is cheap stuff and looks tacky and not smooth.
SCAFFOLDING. Was told by the surveyor that we HAVE TO have scaffolding BY LAW......HEALTH AND SAFETY. 2 kids turned up with the WRONG type of scaffolding. So no scaffolding put up. BUT windows were still put in........how is that. So took the £600 cost for the scaffolding off what I was paying them.
THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW but they put my windows in anyway.
They did not tell me that they did not silicone some of the outside where they had to do repairs. The silicone on the inside goes YELLOW, so looks awful against white plastic.
You would think it would cut the sounds from outside, it does not. Because they use the spray filler foam, there is NO sound suppresion at all from the outside.
The workers I had were not window fitters, or know what proper workmanship is.
Safestyle just look for anyone who say they do window fitting.
Shame there is no way of checking there work beforehand.
But just check things like the covers for screws, mangled screws, handles lose or stiff.......they said it will losen up but 18 months later they are still the same, silicone done properly.................90% CANNOT silicone properly and also use cheap stuff that goes yellow (Within a couple of weeks).
This has put me off using them. They say "it will cost £35,000 but will do it for 60% off" Dont be fooled by all that rubbish or when they say there are in the area at the moment and can do it now. They will always be in your area if you windows put in.
Got a call asking for £50 from a company saying that its in case safestyle goes bust you still have a warranty. What a CON. DONT PAY IT.

stay well clear from this company. their workmanship is absoutely terrible. 6 years and im still getting them back to sort out disaster fitting. nothing but fault after fault. rendering getting re done and still falling off to mention a little of what ive been through. promise earth and dont deliver. if you got good hard earned cash to waste then let them into your home, but if u want decent prouct with full after sales service - go and find decent company elsewhere, you have been warned...wish i had have been and saved a lot of stress, time and money.0
