I have an LLU line with TalkTalk and the only company that can take back that line is BT.

BT will only take back the line if the number originated from BT .

TT allow Utility Warehouse to take their llu line,s over .
  • This company have illegally taken over my telephone line and removed cash from my business bank account. They have left me with no broadband, no landline, no working streamline machine and our alarm has been made ineffective. I have made over 100 phone calls to this company to try and resolve this problem and have only had a reply since sending their MD a recorded delivery letter to his home address.

I then recieved a telephone call from David Wolton saying he had listened to a recording of me allegedly agreeing to a contract with them. I told him this was untrue and to send me a copy of the tape. I then threatened to post his MD's name and home address on Internet forums such as this, to which he replied with a threat of police intervention. I took legal advice and was assured that posting his name and address online is NOT illegal. The police paid me a visit as he said they would, and confirmed to me that posting his name and address was not illegal. As of yet I have received no copy of the tape recording..............because there isn't one. They did offer me £250 as an ex gracia payment. I turned this down as I considered it an insult. More than 6 weeks without broadband, streamline machine and land line ahs cost my business substantially, not to mention the fact that I have had to make all phone calls from my personal mobile costing me a fortune. All governing bodies such as Ofcom, Otello and Trading Standards have all been worse than useless. All people wanting answers can get in touch by banging on this clowns door.

Please find below this clown's name and home address:

Mr. K J CRAMP, TAURO, HIGHER STONERIDGE, GREEN LANE, DISLEY, CHESIRE, SK12 2AL.

My next step is to take this cowboy outfit to court. If there is anyone who wishes to join me, having had the same atrocious experience, please contact me.

    Regards,

    Wayne Carter.
  • It would appear i am one of a long line of unhappy customers who have been ripped off and blatantly lied to by these COWBOYS. A Cowboy operation.

I am the type of person that once you cross you regret it. I have been doing my research on this outfit and none of it is positive.

It started when my business was cold-called by somebody pretending to be "BT Wholesale". I had heard of BT Wholesale so had no reason to doubt them seeing as they had my correct details and were polite and convincing. I trustingly gave my bank details and WHAM, £170 was taken from my account and i recieved a £800 termination letter from BT Retail!!!

Since doing my research i have since found out that the company is a joke. Ran from a terraced house in the Manchester area. The staff are trained to bull sh*t the customers and they aren't even paid properly or on time. It would seem they're being ripped off too. What comes around goes around, hey??
They are in constant legal wrangles with BT and OFCOM, they have come close to going bust on several occasions. The sooner they do this the better in my eyes.
From what i hear they have a new Operations Director but the "operation" is a SCAM!!!

Please, for the sake of your business avoid KCT!!!

    Ryan Bailey.
  • Let it be known to the world and the trading standards agency that KCT are no longer KCT.

My wife openned a business in February 2010 and had BT line installed. KCT posing as BT business tried to get her to swap to them - fortunately she didn't though they did send a bill for £1025 for there services which I forwarded directly to OFFCOM.

Almost a year to the day we have received a letter from them saying that KCT has transferred our account (that we don't have) to Edge Telecommunications Limited (GCI Com) and that we should deal soley with them??? Why when we have nothing to deal with.

Interestingly though CGI is a registered company (0436651) with companies house but has been dormant since December 2009. The internet is wonderful as it also finds an associated company are Edge Telecommonucations Limited (03101247) - last accounts with companies house in December 2009, who have coincidentally just been referred to in a letter just received from KCT - 10 months after we politely told them to go away.

Let the world know about them. Martin, this site is absolutely brilliant for us all to find out about scams like this when we least need the hastle and trying to make a go of things.

    Thanks

Thank you for that information. I too have been ripped off by these crooks. It took me 3 months to get back my line, number & Broadband. I had to write to the chairman of BT.
I shall be writing to the address you gave for the MD of KCT. It might not do any good (they will not pay membership fees for OTELO) but I will feel a whole lot better
  • THank you. please see your posting for my reply.

OFCOM has extended its investigation into KCT...

I suggest any disgruntled KCT customers should contact OFCOM

I have experienced exactly the same problem with KCT - receiving a call back in early 2010 informing me they were part of BT and finding my account transferred to them. After much wrangling, KCT agreed to refund me nearly £300 as BT informed me that they were aware of their activities and any voice recordings of the customer agreeing to the KCT contract conveniently did not include the original 'cold call' where they lead you to believe that you are speaking to BT. I had been awaiting the promised cheque from KCT - which surprise surprise did not arrive, then last week had been waiting for a BACS payment. On chasing this up on Thursday this week, I was finally told by a member of KCT staff that KCT have just gone into administration.

I will certainly be chasing this up with OFCOM and cannot believe that a company can get away with such blatent criminality then leave all its creditors in the lurch.
