or a bungalow? the housing association by us has built a few bungalows special for people with disabilities

I contacted our local council about housing but you have to be resident in the area for 3 years before they'll put you on the list.

I have been looking at bungalows in the area - they're pretty few and far between.

I'm sure we'll sort something out - will be easier to make decisions once we've got a few more answers.

Thats silly, it should be for people who need help not how long you have lived in the area.

    Thanks guys.

Pooky, I have been thinking about setting up some kind of website/support group for people with more than one type of disability, as it causes so many problems with getting help, so I might look at that in a while.

Sammy, the GP pointed out that I do do a lot - I'm doing two OU courses (so technically full time), I'm learning drums, I have a writing group and two book clubs, and my volunteer work. There should be the social services groups too, but as the ones I want to do aren't accessible I can't. So I do have reasons to get up, and things to work towards.

I guess I'm just terrified of welfare reforms and being forced to get a full time job with no help and support - it makes sense to jump now with a parachute than to wait a few months and just get pushed, IYSWIM.

Anyway, I've got a lot on in the next few weeks, and I should really wait to see what the psych says and then I can try and look at things a bit more rationally.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Pooks, can the council refer you to housing associations to see if they have any? Might get lucky, you never know. At the moment I'm trying to get somewhere on a piece I started last year - it's about A4 size and is a collie and a horse in a field...bit tricky but time consuming
